Re: To Combine 2 Circuits, Do you remove the Output/Input Ca
Octave circuit (with home made darlington pair) > Emitter follower > LPB1 (because that Octave looses almost all gain) Im sure there is a better way to do it, but in the process of investigating options I had this question and thought it would be a good learning point. Can you explain briefly WHY I ...

To Combine 2 Circuits, Do you remove the Output/Input Caps?
Sorry, I know there are a lot of "combine 2 effects threads" but I couldnt find one that addressed this specifically. If I want to combine the 2 circuits in the top drawing, do I leave the clouded section in, or do I remove the output/input caps and pull down resistors and join them as in ...

No problems at all. I shared it so it could be used!Zipslack wrote:Nice work. Hope you don't mind, but I'm also going to make copies of these for my students to use for labs/projects.

Paper Perfboard & Breadboard printables for easier planning.
Thought Id toss these up for everyone to use. If, like me, your breadboard layouts get far to cumbersome without pre-planning, or you perfboard builds go much faster if you plan them on paper rather than DIYLC or similar. There is a column for bill of materials and a box for notes on each. I keep th...

Re: Stick on copper traces...
I didnt get around to testing it last night, but from what I've read this morning, the adhesive IS conductive on most brands AND they sell it in thinner sizes than what I have. I think my next project, im just going to split it down the middle and use it on a blank (un-drilled) board material and dr...

Re: Stick on copper traces...
Thanks guys. Ive always made my living as an artist/photographer/animation and sourcing alternative materials for projects has always been a part of my life. Now I understand you conductivity question. The answer is, I dont know, but ill test it tonight. If you look at the places in the pic where my...

That makes more sense. Either way, I guess its designed to handle heat.deltafred wrote:rwebbart wrote: IIRC you wrap it over the edge of each piece of glass then get a bigass soldering iron and solder all the pieces together using plumbers solder.

Re: Stick on copper traces...
How thick is the adhesive on this stuff? Is it conductive? Its super thin stuff, and the adhesive is clear to the point that you can see the copper through it so well, you can barely tell you're looking at the sticky side. So far my voltages are all what they should be at all points, and the adhesi...

Good on You, :thumbsup I love it when people are forced to be inventive ,, some great ideas come from that. One Q, How does the heat from soldering effect the glue? Phil. It held up really well. No problem actually. I thought about putting a squiggly line of hot glue across the bottom when i was do...

Wanted to say hello and thanks. I've lurked around here for a year and finally joined. I've learned a lot from you fine folks and hopefully this little tid-bit will be found useful by someone else. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-SZ5ua2Pg27I/TuMVCba7SZI/AAAAAAAAglc/kBMl9xf6jWw/s640/2011-12-10%252...
