Re: Vector-based software templates (for stompboxes)

Hey I just stumbled upon this, it looks like you can't fit batteries under the 3pdt switches on the B enclosures. Is this correct? If you're asking about my components.pdf layouts, then no, I don't have them setup for battery use, as I don't use them. Anyone could easily adjust the file for more ro...

Re: DPDT Daughter Board with Millenium Bypass

Hi Eric's (Mr G) layout pdf is amazing i was wondering if he did the jack sockets, case drawings him self or is there some really nice template with that stuff on. it looks like hes done the layout in adobe ilustrator but I can't be sure. It would be handy to know as i use ilustrator to do layouts ...

Re: Drawing/art software - vector based

Inkscape is a great free vector based program. I prefer Adobe Illustrator for non-free vector programs, though. Corel is possibly a little more user friendly, but I've been using Illustrator for a long time, so it's what I'm comfortable with. If you (or anyone) go the Illustrator route, I highly rec...

Looks like it has straighter sides than a 1590b or a 125b.

MB3 delay pedal

I've never heard of this brand/pedal before, but a friend on another forum just got one. So, I got her to take a few pics for me, and she gave me permission to repost them here. No chance of getting a component side shot, though.

So what say you? PT2399?

Peavey Classic 30 too dark

My PV C30's clean channel is a bit too dark for my needs. I find that amps with lots of top end sparkle make my dirt pedals sound more natural, and the C30 just isn't making the cut as is. So, I was wondering if adding a treble bleed cap between lugs 2 & 3 of the clean channels volume pot would ...

I'm at a loss here. I have no idea what to tell you. Maybe one of the more knowledgeable guy can help us out. I really hate that you've got 10 non-working boards on your hands :?

Re: geofex 2 band parametric EQ

Here's another shot with the ground plane removed. Might help see any other issues if there are any.

Re: geofex 2 band parametric EQ

I think I see the problem. Pin 5, R3, and the LB pot should not be connected to ground. Cut the trace at the point I have circled to see if that fixes the problem. I'm really sorry about that. Like I said in my first post, I haven't built it, so I never claimed that it was verified. Hope that fixes ...

Re: geofex 2 band parametric EQ

I haven't built it myself. collingtech seemed to have some trouble with it, but that's doesn't mean there's something wrong with the layout. @ collingtech... Have you made any progress? Is it layout error or builder error? Could you post a picture of the component side and the trace side? Did you ma...

I see. Thanks for the info.

My personal standards are actually pretty freakin' low, ha ha. When others are involved, the bar gets raised a bit, or at least I try to raise it.

Re: Artistic PCB tutorial

I was definitely flattered, and honored, but the tutorial is unfinished in it's current form (the thread tells it all, but the PDF doesn't), and I just don't see myself doing anymore to it anytime soon. If you don't add some kind of thermal isolation, it will make soldering a real pain in the ass in...

scroll saw for cutting PCB

Anybody use a scroll saw for cutting out/trimming PCB's? My wife has one that's been in the box for years, so I pulled it out a few weeks ago, and it's actually a pretty nice one. It's got a nice and heavy cast iron table. Once I sanded all the rust off of it, and cleaned it up, it works like a drea...

Strange... Here's an email I just got Hi. My name's Sean, and I write for MAKE magazine. That's definitely an idea, but like you said, I don't think the final product would be worth the work it took.

Re: mini pilot light LED

http://www.rodenberg-amplification.com/english/index_e.html He uses the jewel lights, I dont know if he just uses and led underneath or an actual lamp. I think a bright led might "trick" you into thinking theres a bulb in the pedal. :) Those do look really cool, but I think I'd want somet...

mini pilot light LED

Is there anything that is similar to the typical pilot light used in amplifiers, but in a much smaller package, and using an LED? Something like in the following picture, but smaller. I really like the look, and think it would look nice used in a pedal, but maybe in a smaller package. The larger siz...
