this is a great idea and i plan to contribute. i am a huge supporter of free information and i dont think there is a single good reason for gooping ANYTHING.

Re: Wattson Classic Electronics - Superfuzz
Kinda strange the way the wires are tied together in bundles instead of using a zip tie. Is the original like that? No they don't have the wires bundled together like that or battery drawers. correct. the battery drawer and LED were upgrades to modernize the pedal. as well as the DC jack. like i sa...

Re: Wattson Classic Electronics - Superfuzz
I'd think that with such an oscillation-prone circuit, you'd want to avoid tying all the wires together, input, output, etc., with no shielding. That's just me, though. I have a pet peave of "neat" wiring that actually detracts from the quiet operation of the circuit. What the hell, thoug...

Re: Wattson Classic Electronics - Superfuzz
FWIW, Jim (amp_surgeon) has taken the time on several occasions to help me w/ some of my builds. IMHO, he went far and above and beyond - creating diagrams for switching issues I was having. I'd have no reservations buying one of his products... I wish I had the extra money now. Unfortunately, I ha...

Re: Wattson Classic Electronics - Superfuzz
That's an admirable, transparent business policy. Seems for some, the status quo here is to diss 'boo-teeq' builders for trying to make a living, but I ain't about that. If you're gonna do a clone, be up front about what you're doing like you guys did, and have some humility and respect for what ca...

of course! its not our circuit to begin with, and we wanted everyone to be able to see and utilize the circuit however they wanted.Gila_Crisis wrote:btw in the owners manual there's the schem of this Superfuzz!

Re: Wattson Classic Electronics - Superfuzz
wow, so i was right. that video needs to go, pronto. hah. thanks for the feedback i guess. and regarding the tied wires issue: one of the more consistent bits of praise we get about the superfuzz is how quiet it is. we tie the cables together with wax lacing cord to keep everything neat, and to add ...

Re: Wattson Classic Electronics - Superfuzz
yeah the pedal sounds great, and the pedal looks looks like it's built really well. but that video is just plain terrible. sitting on a crappy couch in the basement? and the little goofy digs at the guy with the brains turned me off. i think sometimes injecting too much of your personality into you...

wow guys. are we in high school? How would I know where we are. I know where I am. :hmmm: And that's considerably further up on the road than the poor fella that "knew it all" after a 3 month electronics course who did not even have a Shin-Ei superfuzz to compare to. Especially since all ...

Re: Boss - OD-3 [schematic]
I have a od3 and it reminds the bd2, at least as I remeber it. It has the same scooped mid type of sound and an boost on the bass side, in the band mix it doesn't cut through. To me it's a good unit at home, maybe with a transitor amp, but in live situation it's not that useful, if the frequency re...
