How to remove the popping noise when switching the reverb po
I have made a digital reverb using the BTDR-2H module. (Box of Hall) I'm not going to make it into a stompbox. I want to put it inside the amp that I made. (in the active fx loop) The amp that I make is a footswitchable two-channel amplifier. Because I want to use different reverb settings for diffe...

Re: Tri-vibe popping noise on bypass switch
Hi it is sometimes too difficult to solve this pop while still trying to use a classic 3PDT "true bypass" wiring. I'd suggest this kind of bypass, few parts, and pop-free guarantee: http://1776effects.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Opto-Tron-BOM.pdf Another great bypass option is the Mill...

I'm already added 1M Pulldown resistor but there's no change.marshmellow wrote:It seems like you don't have a pulldown resistor in front of the input capacitor. Comparing with the original schematic, it isn't there as well. Just put a 1M from the cap to ground.

Tri-vibe popping noise on bypass switch
I seem to be asking you a series of questions with a popping noise. Yesterday I made a Tri-vibe with a layout of 1590A size. It works clean without any hiss or LFO noise. But every time press the bypass footswitch, there is a lot of popping noise. Both occur on / off. All three toggle settings are s...

Re: Crowther Audio Hotcake truebypass pop noise.
Did you use R13? Do you means the 120K at the ground of 77 Hotcake? I know it is for buffered bypass. I make it with truebypass so I don't use it. (level lug1 and drive lug3 is to ground directly) And my `03 Hotcake made with truebypass also has popping noise. For a variety of reasons, I want to ma...

Re: Crowther Audio Hotcake truebypass pop noise.
That's the point.
Other pedals I made with this wiring have no popping noise. Only Hotcake has.
Do you ever made a Hotcake clone? Didn't you have a popping noise in your hot cake?
If your truebypass Hotcake has no popping noise, show me your layout please.

Re: Crowther Audio Hotcake truebypass pop noise.
Effect send means effect input. Effect return means effect output. Input/ourput means input/output jack tip. So effect input is grounded when bypass. And input/outputs are doesn’t always connect. Clean signal doesn’t mixed with effect. http://www.pedalparts.co.kr/shop/board/viewImg.php?src=http%3A//...

Re: Crowther Audio Hotcake truebypass pop noise.
There's no smoothing capacitors on my boards. (Original circuit dosen't have it) Could it be the cause?

Crowther Audio Hotcake truebypass pop noise.
I like Hotcakes very much. I like the `77 version and the `03 version both. But whenever the bypass switch is pressed, it is annoying due to the loud pop noise. The drive sound itself is good. Make it with the schematic below. I ignore the relay parts and make it truebypass. Every time I try to make...

Re: Diezel VH4 Pedal [schematic]
I read all the contents and try to make my own layout. I have some questions that I need to confirm. 1. I want to run it through the 9v power supply for convenience. I am going to get 9v and drive it by making bipolar doubler through 7660 or 1054. What is worrisome is whether to supply 18v bioplar p...

Thank you! It will take a lot of time to read because of my bad English ability, but I will read it carefully.ppluis0 wrote: Take a read on this link: http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/p ... tscret.htm

i belive that a well planed pcb reduces that noise. but the vero bord most of us use has a configuration that doesent reduce the noise. on your tiny packaging the noise problem is even bigger. I agree with your opinion. I've had similar experiences in the past (problems when creating the same circu...

Re: Can I get a specially ordered reverse audio curve?
You can also make your own log, anti-log, exponential, reciprocal or almost any other curve by the addition of "tapering" resistors to linear pots. There are lots of descriptions of how to do the calculations on the interweb! It seems a reasonable idea. Can you recommend the taper calcula...

Can I get a specially ordered reverse audio curve?
I've made some stompboxes that use a reverse audio curve as a gain pot. Crowther Audio Hot Cake, Sansamp Bass Driver, Darkglass VMT / B3K... All of theses are have same problem. When the drive pot is turned, the amount of gain is almost unchanged, but suddenly changes from the last 20%. I don't comp...

Re: Darkglass Electronics - Microtubes B3K [traced]
Yesterday, I installed Attack / Grunt switches. (both on-off-on toggle) The problem of gain reduction has disappeared when I operate the attack switch on both sides. There was no problem turning the gain pot to the end. Apart from this, I also thought that I did not feel dirty/brutal sound enough th...

Re: Darkglass B3K [traced]
Unfortunately, I also get a gain drop after gain pot 8 ~ 90%. I made a VMT(uses 4049) but it doesn't have this problem. There is no switch yet for debugging convenience. Does the problem disappear when change the mode? I made my own layout for the 1590A case. 05E8CBCC-C89B-45D9-A129-FBCF77386C98.png...
