Re: Turret board builds-how to? Skin pimp Skinpimp...
Yeah I just liked his service the best. I tried some keystone turrets and they were a PIA to solder to and more expensive. They had some coating of oil or corrosion crap on them . Turretboards.com are good quality too . But Hoffman gets his stuff out the door immediately. I get my turrets from Hoffm...

Hey Guy's Thanks thanks for the kind words ! I use wood because I had a ton of maple lying around from some guitar builds, And ran out of actual turret material . I also have some ebony and others, but like using good figured stuff. As far as turrets I get mine through Hoffman Amps. You need the Bas...

Re: D*A*M - Sonic Titan ( DAM ) [traced]
I was just messing with this on breadboard today, and no matter what I try, I keep getting that crappy sputtery note decay at lower gain settings. I'm using the same type of National LM386N-1 as the original. I even tried running it at 6v, and that made no improvement. Has anyone ever found a '386 ...

Re: D*A*M - Sonic Titan ( DAM ) [traced]
Hi Hill, Welcome.. on the Titan ( which i no longer have in front of me to verify ) but i do know that there is a 1k resistor coming from the Gain control to ground .. otherwise when gain is turned down there would be no output, as the signal would be completely shunted to ground.. also ridding of t...

Re: Germanium Transistors
hmmm. I dunno, I was using Jack's method until I got My Peak, and they were both pretty dead on as far as Hfe and leakage readings...... ??? Peak- .190 = 190uA leakage Jack's -with open base .48 = .48/2472 =.00019417 which would be 194uA .....Correct? if So, I would say Mine is Close enough for gove...

Re: Pete Cornish - NG-2
Ive played a P2, SS2, NG2 and a TES. They were neat but not worth the money or the massive amount of space/direct AC they require. Im sure his various other products are cool too but I dont feel the need to fellate the guy for his track record of roadproofing consumer-grade pedals. I agree.... He w...
