Re: Catalinbread - Dirty Little Secret [traced]
I've done the switches individually and added the charge pump and 9V/18V switch. I noted the original JFET but have done the layout with the type we commonly use in mind and with a DSG pinout. If you do want to use the original then check the pinouts. [updated below] Thanks so much for the vero! Do...

Re: Catalinbread - Dirty Little Secret [traced]
Looks like it's for either version 1 or 2 and not the MKIII. Don't think it's that hard to change it to match the schematic of the DLS MKIII though.

Re: Catalinbread - Dirty Little Secret [traced]
Once the schematic is verified, it might be nice if pietro_moog could post the voltages of the original one so we can compare the two. I never checked the voltages on any other of my Catalinbread builds so I don't think it matters that much.

Are we ready for a vero guys? Or do we still think some values might be off?

Re: Univox - Univibe (Uni-vibe)
I just build mine using a ForumVibe PCB and the power supply and voltage regulator posted here on page 2 (thanks for those by the way!) Having some weird noise problems though. Take a listen: http://soundcloud.com/hhr18/uni-vibe-problem The noise gets a lot less when I press down on the first 1uF ca...

Re: Catalinbread - RAH [traced]
So after having shelved the RAH for a while I decided to box it. Why? Because of this video!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjYfVi_-gGE I always thought the tone stack had something special but the low gain made me build some other pedals first. Then comes the amazing video and I decided to build ...

Re: Wampler - Tweed '57 [traced]
Anyone else build it yet? Great pedal, easily compares to my Tweed Deluxe build. One thing though, I find that the treble knob get shril and very trebly very fast, especially on higher gain settings in the bright and linked mode. Checking out the demo by Jet City it seems the original also has this!

Re: Wampler Faux Tape Echo
Hurrah! Freestompboxes.org died when people think that tracing a circuit will damage the builders... or is in some way contrary to the law. What every traced unit the last five years has shown, is that every unit takes its inspiration somewhere. Yet if this is an interesting pedal, people should be...

Re: Wampler - Tweed '57 [traced]
Hey guys! :) hello once again! i have a question... hope you can help me! :), is there a way to increase overall bass of this pedal?... or maybe add a bass bost switch? eemmm... yeah i know that the pedal was made to sound as it sounds but... i would like to increase those frecuencies a little bit ...

Would it be possible to post the voltages of all the J201s? Since Brian matches all J201s before putting them into the circuit!

Re: Wampler Tweed '57 - Guts Shot [traced]
The print on the enclosure says "Vintage American Tone Structure", but the pot values are a perfect match for a scaled marshall tonestack :hmmm: the tweed 59 bassman is the father of all early Marshalls,so yes,you can call it vintage american... "father" is giving Jim Marshall t...

Re: Catalinbread - RAH [traced]
I've been messing about with this on the breadboard a bit today ahead of building one, and I ended up changing the gain control. I liked it best with the gain almost maxed, so I got rid of the existing gain pot, the 47p treble bleed and 47n coupling cap, and just wired the 100n (C7 on the schem) di...

Re: Zvex - Box of Rock [traced]
Just build this one using the vero layout posted by 5thumbs on page 18. Sounds good. I think the gain pot is supposed to be a 5k reverse log instead of a 5k linear. When using a linear, the gain goes up very fast in the last 25% of the pot. I would suggest using a 5k reverse log there! The tone pot ...

Re: Wampler - Plexi-Drive [traced]
The two new amp simulations by Wampler (Black '65 and Tweed '57) feature 3 band EQ. What would need to be added or changed to get this on this pedal?
