did you ground the 5v center tap? it should not be grounded, just leave it floating.

Active Bass Wiring Questions
i need help with a battery wiring problem. i want my active bass to have stereo out using just one output jack. since my jack is what turns the power on for the active electronics how can i wire it to do both? my bass uses a long reach type jack.

Re: HAO - Rustride Bass Driver [schematic]
to be honest gus i dont really know the 100% correct way of doing the calculations. i have read that you need to add the source z and input resistor in parallel and read that the source z has no bearing on the equation at all. the internet is a great resource but there is a lot off conflicting info ...

Re: HAO - Rustride Bass Driver [schematic]
i just used a similar schematic that i found online and edited it with "paint". for the low end problem C2 acts with the 39k input resistor and forms a high pass filter. you could change C2 from .056 (72hz) to .100 (40hz) or .22 (18hz). i will probably change the 39k to 100k to lower the g...

Re: HAO - Rustride Bass Driver [schematic]
here is the schematic that i've been working on for my rust ride. there are a few differences in my schematic and the one above but it is accurate for my pedal. i will add the input wiring for the active/passive jacks when i get time to open it back up. i will also post the serial number for my peda...

Re: Tronographic Rusty Box - Shellac bass tone in a box
on the traynor schematic, what does the last section with the 6 mps8598 right before the master volume do? looks like some kinda fixed eq.

Re: Xotic - RC Booster [traced]
go with a 500k gain pot and asymmetrical clipping diode arrangement. check the ac booster schematic i think thats what it uses.

Re: Fulltone Bass Drive [traced]
Just as I supected. It's a fart factory!!!!! FARTY, FARTY, FART, FART. One of these days I'm going to make a real bass overdrive pedal and show these guys how it's done. I can't believe people actually spend $200 on this thing well until you do i guess the world will just have to use substandard far...

Re: HAO - Rust Driver [traced]
my hao rust ride bass pedal has a TL072CN in it. the circuit is very much like the rust driver with a few resistor changes and voicing switch adds caps across the output not the feedback loop.

mesa boogie bass amps
i'm looking for schematics for any of the mesa tube powered amps(d-180, m-180, m-190, 400, 400+, str400, etc). i have some but they are poor quality. not looking to clone one, just get ideas for a bass amp project as the mesa bass amps get high reviews.
