Re: Tech21 Character Series: anybody cracked one open yet? [schematic]
o.k here's the resistor values for the 'Goop Hybrid Module'. This little baby still had a few surprises left. R104 measured open circuit. My initial reaction was 'shit I've damaged it during the de-goop'. But no, closer inspection with a magnifying glass revealed that the laser trimming has cut com...

Re: BJFE Blueberry Bass Overdrive [traced]
just wondering. are you sure that the 2n2 on the tone circuit connects to lug 3 of the volume pot as opposed to the Jet's source as BJFE does on all of his other OD's? I noticed that the madbean Yellow Shark (BJFE honeybee), the Bearfoot and the Mad Professor 3BOD's have that cap connected to the s...

Folks,
My apologies, I mixed up the labels on 9V and LED wire pads. They are reverse of what the first post is, just swap the wires. Here is the corrected image:

The switch became faulty recently, so I decided to replace it and trace the schematic while it was open. Here are some pics of the pedal: https://i.imgur.com/N0em9BA.jpg?3 https://i.imgu...

Re: A Switching Scheme [documentation]
Is there any advantage of using a 14 pin logic chip (40106, 4093) over using a 555 timer? It seems as though having a smaller footprint would be ideal if the functionality is the same.

Relay Bypass with Tails for Delay
I have an old fashioned 3PDT style bypass strip that I've used for years, and it has come to the point where the pops are actually causing damage. My delay pedal (Boss DD3) get fizzy and low volume when activated. I suspect that the pop from the switching causes enough current to really muk things u...
