Re: Biyang Tonefancier Blue BL-8

Right, I wouldn't read those damn resistors, I just measured with MM.
The previous image I uploaded has been updated.

Guess I'll transform it into a grey dod 250, it should be quite easy.

Re: Biyang Tonefancier Blue BL-8

Right! Just got one today for cheap, man let me say it's one of the worst pedal I've ever played! it can get some use with just a zic of gain, turn it up and you get lifeless mud sound...

Did you manage to work the schem out!? it seems a little but funny circuit...curious to read it!

Re: Bass Valvecaster Build and Schematic

question is...why?! it seems you can get much better results with other methods, say a quad opamp or something like that...I do know well the valvy, after the joy of a 12v running tube circuit, the result is not that good to develop further, losing the "it's a very low parts count" factor.

...or take the second part of the OCD schematic, so invert the pins at the op amp making it non inverting and have the tone control at the end.
damn, I wish this forum had the EDIT button!!!

Re: Locobox - Mysto-Dysto Distortion Unit [schematic]

Right, just desoldered the output wire (it's purple if anyone cares) and soldered to the output diodes, so now it's a 250 with input buffer. now it's more usable IMO, yeah you haven't got tone but that BM tone was cutting too much and it was usable only at its middle point...otherwise it was too shr...

Re: Locobox - Mysto-Dysto Distortion Unit [schematic]

It seems to be in good working order, it's just a not so good sounding pedal IMO. Gonna try to skip the switching part and make it TB, Else I could try to skip the tone part too, and have a regular 250 alike...

Re: Locobox - Mysto-Dysto Distortion Unit [schematic]

I got one for dirt cheap (10€) but it sucks big time...tone is useless, so the gain, and the feeling you get is that you have a blanket on your (possibly true bypass) distortion pedal...not an heavy overdrive, not a good distortion, not a good pedal at all...think I'm gonna rip it up on the fly and ...

FIY the schem by cow4prez has a few errors, all electrolytic caps marked 50µ are actually 1µ (50v) – R118 is a 10k (res. to ground of the output buffer) C103 is a 2.2µ

Re: Carl Martin - PlexiTone [traced]

I'd love to build the plexitone single channel, I read that the circuit is not the same as the 3 switches pedal, it got some changes. Anyone got the correct schematic?! here's the description The new `single channel` Carl Martin PlexiTone was designed in association with Pete Thorn, and is housed in...

Schem at first page has a small error, R23 is 100k. Some people tend to put half its value to get more signal put the pedal.

Re: Behringer - VP1 Vintage Phaser - various mods w/ video

Tabbycat, thanks for the links, I already read them as you may have guessed... I also spotted an error in the schematic, gotta re-upload the corrected one (just a resistor value anyway...) I did spot how to bring the stone mods to the VP1 schem, that pot is going to replace the resistor between the ...
