OK, I'm almost certain it was this circuit: http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/f ... tmatch.gif
GEOFEX is still my go-to source for this kind of thing!
:horsey:
I was thinking more tests for checking the K117 for authenticity.

Re: 2SK117-Y from ebay seller huweihuye

You think there's some other tests I could run? I have a bench power supply that does 30V, I could try that across the base-drain junction and see if it smokes? Supposed to handle 50V: https://www.futurlec.com/Datasheet/Tran ... 2SK117.pdf

Re: Crazy tube circuits Falcon overdrive (gut shots)

Probably a tube -> JFET adaptation, so similar to plexi-drive/supreaux deux/ etc. 18V supply with 1044 IC.

2SK117-Y from ebay seller huweihuye

https://www.ebay.com/itm/224020730940 https://www.ebay.com/usr/huweihuye Just thought I'd throw this out there, I rolled the dice on these K117, fully expecting fakes. I tested half of them (25 out of 50) with a Peak DCA75. Average Vgs(off) = -0.351V Average Idss = 1.815mA Standard deviation Vgs(off...

I figured big pictures would be beneficial. I can resample at max 1MB if that's better.

This is an exact remake of the schematic electrofoods themselves posted.
By all means, if you have access to an updated schem, throw it up.

Electrofoods - Germ Warfare

Electrofoods posted the schem for their Germ Warfare pedal to their insta, props to them. Note: "final" is crossed out in the pic, so it's reasonable to assume this may not match your buddy's version exactly. Don't @ me. AFAIK, they use all russian Ge for this, so I'd expect the transistors to be i...

Re: Roger Mayer - Fuzz Face AC128

Not really important, but in case anyone was wondering, BEL is Bharat Electronics Limited.
I had some AC176 made (or at least labelled) by them and it took me a while to figure it out.

Xotic - RC Booster V2

I've played these a few times and always liked them. The usability is insanely bad, you have to have fairy fingers with the stock knobs in order to use the second gain knob. The stompswitches are way to close together. Anyway, I found one used and picked it up. Was surprised to find mostly through h...

But but but... without the stripboard, from where will all the toan come?

Was the source of this circuit ever discovered? It was supposedly some old radio preamp right?

Re: Vemuram - Shanks II

Thanks for the quick reply. The “fuzz” pot is like Vex’s SHO... it crackles when adjusted. None of the FF’s, Benders, or Buzzarounds I’ve played do that. It does clean up remarkably well with no bass or treble loss. Sounds like you have the pedal? If you post some good quality shots of the front an...

Re: Vemuram - Shanks II

I assume you're talking about the shanks II. Website says based on fuzzface, tonebender, and buzzaround. TBMKIII and buzzaround both have that darlington input stage, so I'd assume it's going to be similar.

Re: Barcus-Berry Standard Pre-Amp Model 1330-1 [schematic]

Hi turbofeedus, Is not neccesary to extract those potentiometrs from the board. :secret: To find what taper have each one simply put all the knobs at 50% of rotation and measure the resistance from the wiper to each other end pin. If the potentiometers were linear, then you will see 25K from center...

Re: Barcus-Berry Standard Pre-Amp Model 1330-1 [schematic]

Found another big discrepancy with that other schematic. All the pots are 100K linear taper. That's measured with them desoldered from the board. The values in that other schematic are something like what you read if they're still on the board, depending how the controls are set. Sorry for th...

I see he's bought some of those 2SD352B off ebay. I tried some, they were really leaky though. Good to see he's made them work.
