Re: "Cheap trick" to smooth the tone of a TC electronic Tube Pilot...
.. the tittle of this thread being an attempt to play with words, although English is not my mother tongue. :P I've already posted the explanations below in some long tedious posts or threads in other forums... But it should make more sense here. I'll just keep it relatively short for a first topic...

Thanks for posting that! It helped me reverse a true bypass mod on mine. If there tone suck, it doesn't bother me. I much prefer the heavy duty original Carling SPDT switches to the cheap blue 3PDT switches.

Re: DOD - FX22 Vibro Thang GUTS - no schema yet [schematic]
Thanks fior answering ! No my modified one works perfectly independantly of the mod. The problem is the new one on wich the speed doesn't go as fast as on my first one. By reading the diagram kindly post by DoctorSound I can 't really see what could be the culprit ... RPMS controls the speed .... D...

Re: DOD - FX22 Vibro Thang [schematic]
I've just managed to shunt the bypass network on my FX22. :hmmm: It was a frustrating attempt at first, but after studying the schematics, I remembered something from my studies of passive crossovers in speaker networks, which was; when you need a non polarized capacitor and you have none, wire up ...

Hey Scruffie, thx 4 the reply. Looks like I will be able to return it after all. Paid around $100.00 for it so as much as I'd like to here it working I don't think it is worth it for me. I can give your contact to the guy that sold it to me if you want, somebody should fix it!

Well, I just got a message from the great Analoguru and boy do I feel like a sucker. My pedals says Electro Harmonics...not Harmonix.

Re: Vintage Bad stone phaser, anybody in the EU up for a proj
What the heck are those plastic communist era jacks? And its hooked up to only one battery snap, I thought these were 18v pedals? And that extra small pcb, is that original or some kind of add on? If there is one positive thing, the traces look to be ok and the solder joints not lifting....but I'm re...

Vintage Bad stone phaser, anybody in the EU up for a project?
Hi, I'm in Prague,CZ and am writing to request some assistance/advice. Here's the story, I was recently scammed/ripped off on a local bazaar. The seller was selling a vintage Bad Stone phaser and pretended to not be a musician or know anything about the effect. He said he had no way of testing it. A...

I'd really like to bring it to OD-850 specs. Anybody know the elusive mod that I've heard mentioned but never seen?

Re: Ibanez SF5 60's Fuzz [schematic]
Hi, I just picked up a beat up SF-5,missing batt cover and paint, but it works fine! Any mods that you guys would recommend on this circuit? Mojo transistors etc... I like the way it sounds but it seems like a pretty tame version of a big muff. Isn't there a mod to bring it to OD-850 [I think that i...

Hey Bernardduur! You said ''Usually I use a mic in front of my cab and a DI in front of my pedalboard for live gigs. ''
You mean you go guitar into> DI >into> pedalboard to your amp which is miked. What do you like about having a DI first in your chain? Just curious

Re: JOYO Crunch Distortion Schematic [schematic]
Simmed the tonestack with LT Spice and the Tone and Presence interact a lot. The Tone control has the greatest effect with the Presence altering the roll off slop. For the least mid-range, try the Presence trim pot about midway. Might increase the cap in the presence control, to 47n for more action...
