Re: Xotic EP-Booster [traced]
I built a quick EP Booster by Theo's PCB layout (thanks!) with the corrected R6=1K. While I could have messed up my build, my circuit does sound like it is clipping a bit as GregG suggested. I don't love it, but others might dig it.

Re: Suhr - Riot [gut shots, schematic, layouts] [traced]
just breadboarded this using madbeans v2 schem. he's got 36nf in the tone section for C8 and C9, but that sounds really dark and dull to me (unless I fucked up somewhere). 4.7nf for both sounds way better, more presence and fizz, maybe these 2 caps were misread and should be 3.6nf? gutshots seem to...

Re: Zvex - Box of Metal - gut shots, schematic, PCB layout [traced]
Hi everybody, I built this off of Madbeans v1 layout (actually from a PCB I bought from him, thanks!). I'm getting less then unity volume out of it and I can't hear a difference when I adjust the trimpot, but all of the other knobs seem to be working as they should and the distortion sound seems abo...

Re: Zvex - Seekwah >>>>>>>>> [traced]
Anybody have a suggestion for a specific LDR in these Colorsound inductorless wahs (preferably not an expensive vactrol), or what resistance values to look for? I tried the cheapo's from Futurlec and got a decent sound, but not the complete range that the original seems to have. Any experience with ...

Re: Zvex - Seekwah >>>>>>>>> [traced]
Hi, I tried both of these schematics without success. The analogurru does not work for me. The original Zvex not at all also. Seems the oscillator part with the TL071 is not correct. I made a working Seek Wah from the 'original Zvex' schematic. The schematic I used did not include Pin 16 of the HCF...

Re: MI Audio - Crunch Box [traced]
IT WORKS!!! it suddendly became one of the best overdrive I've ever heard and built! referring to the Matsumin schematics: - 1uF film in place of the 2.2 uF electro C7 - 1K8 R in place of the 100R R7 - a B25K (tone) pot in place of VR2 and R8 (one external lug to R7, the other external directly to ...

Re: Super Simple Tremolo
Yep, that should do it Barcode. If you want to add some fun to it, you can also add a switch to alternate between 2 LDR's and mount the 2nd one on top of the pedal for a crude Zvex Tremolo Probe work-alike (works better than you'd expect). But what foxfire said is true, this is not a perfect tremolo...

Super Simple Tremolo
Hey, First post here(!). I found this great little circuit for a smooth LED pulse here: http://metku.net/index.html?path=mods/colorfade/index_eng (only will need the slimmed down 1 LED version for this pedal). I used it to make a crude, yet great sounding tremolo effect. I forget exactly what I did ...
