I built a quick EP Booster by Theo's PCB layout (thanks!) with the corrected R6=1K. While I could have messed up my build, my circuit does sound like it is clipping a bit as GregG suggested. I don't love it, but others might dig it.

If you want to add some fun to it, you can also add a switch to alternate between 2 LDR's and mount the 2nd one on top of the pedal for a crude Zvex Tremolo Probe work-alike (works better than you'd expect).
