Re: Oneder Red Ryder clone
sorted my issue by wiring a 47kΩ resistor between C12 and R11 to ground to reduce the level of the distorted signal. I boosted the output by increasing the value of the feedback resistor at the final i-amp stage to compensate for the reduced signal level - net effect is the the pedal is just as loud...

Re: Oneder Red Ryder clone
Thanks Mauman, I’ll do some experiments with the values of those components.

Oneder Red Ryder clone
Hi all, I've just finished putting together the Red Ryder that was posted on dirtboxlayouts in January, but the clean signal is really low in volume compared to the distorted side - the schematic is here :Red Ryder I've checked my board and connections and was wondering whether it's possible to incr...

Re: Beetronics Swarm
Swapped out the 4017 in addition to the 4046 and reflowed a couple of iffy joints and it's working fully.
Absolutely bonkers pedal!

Beetronics Swarm
I’ve built one of these using the veroboard layout on the dirtbox form and can’t get it to do anything other than squeal. This squeal changes pitch depending on adjustments on the ‘tracking’ knob and ‘swarm’ selector. Can anyone post voltages for either this pedal or a working clone? My signal is fi...

Re: BAJA Ampeg SVT bass amplifier pedal 9v 010418 [documentation]
What’s the best way to boost the output on this? Would I be ok using the last opamp stage as a boost instead of a buffer?

Small Stone Voltages
Hi, I've just rebuilt a Small Stone phaser from the tagboard layout:
and am having some issues tracing the board - I've built one a while ago, so I know that the layout is good, but does anyone have voltages for this particular version of the circuit?- 20 Mar 2023, 19:58

Looking at the schematic there's very little else to go wrong. Check your voltages at the IC pins.

Re: Tech21 - Sansamp Bass Driver [schematic]
Could the TLC2264 be replaced with any other dual opamp (another TL074 for instance), or does it have to be that particular chip for the drive sound?

Not so much of a muff tone, a bit more abrasive in the mids.

Turns out it's really good with two Is NPNs with a Hfe of 150ish!

Troglodyte fuzz transistors
Hi, I'm putting together a Troglodyte fuzz from the layout on dirtboxlayouts.blogspot and just wondered how critical the choice of NPNs are for Q1 and Q2. I've got a couple of low hfe (≈150) and just figured I'd throw them in there and see.

Re: Okko FX Motörbass Lemmy's Tone
For what it's worth, this sounds more like a RAT for bass (like a Blowerbox Idiotbox), but less good. I don't think it gets anywhere near Lemmy's tone.

Re: BAJA Ampeg SVT bass amplifier pedal 9v 010418 [documentation]
Would I be ok to take a feed to an active (TL072) DI circuit at the point just before the last gain stage?
I’m thinking of taking a feed from in between the 2n2 and IC2b.

Testing Wah Inductors
Hi. Does anyone know the best way to test if a way inductor is dicky or not, I've built a simple wah on strip board using a verified layout, but don';t have any signal passing through it. I just wondered how other DIY builders check their indictors.

Thanks for that, turns out that there was indeed a tiny, tiny solder bridge, that old chestnut.
Everything is sweeping along like 1978 again now thanks.
