Re: EMG Active Pickup Circuit?
From https://forum.seymourduncan.com/forum/the-pickup-lounge/276591-pickup-eq-curves/page2?view=thread It should be the bump we see in clean around 500-700 khz, and so it induced harmonics, that i like when passing throught distortion (?) compared to EMG. That seems a pretty low coil resonance to ta...

I was septical Take care man, that's a medical emergency! :D [/quote] Thanks a lot about capacitor value advice. I was looking at this thread : https://guitarnuts2.proboards.com/thread/7782/basic-resonant-peak-factor-manipulation and didn't even notice about the unit difference ! Have ...

I'd like to ask about more information about EMG a...

Re: RMC - Poly-Drive X [schematic]
The individual input circuit/eq for each piezo is really interesting. If someone can simulate it, i would be very curious to see curves of the different individual input stages...
Graphtech piezo doesn't do this kind of induvidual tweak with their simple summing board.

Re: Runoffgroove - Thunderbird Preamp
Thanks for pointing at it !!! The dynamics effect remember me a bit the ampeg (crate) tube patent used for the ampeg vh140c in it explanation. But ampeg's stuff is implemented inside the feedback loop, and it can raise a reallyyy heavy distortion... Really interesting to see debucked implicitly this...

Re: Baja Music Man guitar and bass onboard preamps [documentation]
would a 100pf cap (or similar value) going from the signal path to ground bleed out those high frequencies? I've seen designs where the cap was placed right before the output coupling cap It depend of the signal resistance feeding this capacitor to ground, and the frequency you want for this rc fil...

Re: Baja Music Man guitar and bass onboard preamps [documentation]
Hi, Sorry, i can't anwser to the current question, but i've got other ones.. I'm new in trying to understand onboard preamp design. I'm probably wrong, but i want to ask why, so i have some question. Does the low slew rate of the lm4250 is part of the good sound of preamp made with if by "slew-...

Re: Understanding Noll mixpot schematic
Thanks, I'm still working on it, and learning about eletronic. The circuit as yet changed since yesterday. Still ac power supply for charging (with reg), but no more power management needed as batteries will never get off, and transient response is only a problem for headphone. No more decoupling in...

Re: Understanding Noll mixpot schematic
(i didn't find how to edit last post to add this...) Working on the last schematic, i made something that would suit more my needs. But i need help to verify and improve. I want a "rechargeable" bass, instead of having to change batteries. So, i will take the full power management of this ...

Understanding Noll mixpot schematic
Hi, I've token some photos of Noll Mixpot 1, and tryed to redraw the shematic. As all can be seen without opening anything, it's not a problem to show this on the forum, is it ? I'll delete files if it is. It's a active blend pot with two separate input stage with +18db trim gains and a output buffe...

Re: frequencycentral "OBSESSION" Guitar Amplifier
It is just sharing... Frequencycentral's work use part of the shared experience of forums, and share it own. It's a sharing loop. (sorry for my english, but i think it can be understand) Of course, everybody can try it as we see how it's done...but making it work well, and working so clean is so har...

Re: frequencycentral "OBSESSION" Guitar Amplifier
Hi, Could you give us the perfboard layout and the exact part list of your version of the max1771 psu used for this amp ? And how much current have does it draw @250v ? It seems you removed the shematic of the "obsession" amp from photobucket; i understand it. But as for the 555 psu on per...
