Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]

I'm about to give up. :( I tried different bypass wirings, deconnecting the LEDs, the cancel switch, changing ground wires locations. I took the transformer out of the enclosure, untwisted the primary wires, changing the orientation of the transformer, moved it farther. It didn't change a thi...

Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]

Hi guys, I upgraded my forum vibe with a 186C28 Hammond transformer and I have a hum / motorboating problem. There is a slight hum when the pedal is connected. With the cancel switch disengaged it gets louder as the LFO kicks in, and even louder when switched on. More volume = more hum. Speed & ...

Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]

I'll just need to tame that seasick vibe a bit. I've already experimenting with the 2 mix resistors but not in the most effective way. I'll give another proper shot. I'm still undecided whether I should use 24v or 18v. I really need to make my mind; I spent way too much time on this build and my oct...

Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]

Still waiting for answers from TGPers: "Lately I've been experimenting with power supply and trying to bias the pedal properly. I'm using my trusty Mojo Vibe as a reference tone. I've never paid attention to it, but while doing A/Bs, I've noticed that the chorus mode on the Mojo has a slightly ...

Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]

I've been experimenting with power supplies for the last couple days. I tried LM317T & 7815 regulators http://www.classicamplification.net/fv/files/PowerBoards.pdf as well as the original power supply circuit. Using 2 LM317T, I couldn't use less than 17V for the audio signal or else I'd get some...

Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]

I've read this thread like 5 or 6 times and I didn't see such a thing.
Even with google, the only voltages readings of a real univibes you will find were those taken by The Rotagilla, posted here and at DIYstompboxes.

Check pages 14 & 15 for Fastocker's posts. Even if you don't see the attached pics you should be able to download them.

Re: Tycobrahe - Octavia [schematic]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLYaTM885Y8 I have a Tyco on my breadboard. I've tried 3 variations of the circuit; Mr Huge's Tycobrahe schematic, the hand drawn one and the Dunlop Octavio. No matter how I combine the dozen different types of transistors I have I don't get such a nasty and thick so...

I added the Wattson scoop mod to a SuperFuzz kit. http://uk-electronic.de/onlineshop/product_info.php?cPath=105_193&products_id=3085&osCsid=a8568a472734d99ce16fe4b454b9c942 It gets the job done but I have a slight volume drop with the in-between tones. The volume fades a bit during the firs...

Re: Bigfoot FX Magnavibe [traced]

I just built one using Nocentelli's layout. Using stock values, MPSA18 transistors, a 10mm clear red LED facing a 20k - 2M LDR. The effect was very subtle. I tried other LEDs; 5mm clear ultra violet, 5mm bright blue and a 3mm red diffused. And also I tried to cover the LDR/LED with black tape. All o...

Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]

Ok so like I've been told @ DIYstompboxes, they need to be put straight or else it's quite choppy.

Has anyone ever experienced a mid boost while switching to the vibrato mode ? https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/ ... c=112011.0

Re: Sustain Punch - Creamy Dreamer

I came back to delete my post cuz I fixed it. I wasn't expecting a fast response. I went to see wiring diagrams on GGG and the black wire from the DC is now soldered to ground instead of the input ring. Astrobass, Thx for you concern though.

Re: Sustain Punch - Creamy Dreamer

Hi guys I need help true bypassing my Creamy Dreamer. I thought I did it right years ago; the CD has been on my pedalboard for several years and while using a Voodoo Lab power supply everything was fine. Yesterday I decided to sell my CD and took it off my board. I checked if the battery snap was st...
