Re: Vintage Wah Analysis

I recently began to mod wahs and also acquired 2 sepulveda crybabys. I did the vocal mod on both, From 33 k to 68k. Also changed the input resistor from 68k to 47k to increase volume, as I also did true bypass mod to both. I would add that in what I have seen, both circuits of these identical pedals...

Rev G Crybaby modded and restored

Took my buddies crybaby wah, did true bypass, removed input buffer components, various mods, component value changes, yellow fasel inductor. The wah now sounds waaaayyyy more vintage, 60's quack sound is very much there. Sanded down paint on rocker portion, added led, vocal mod 100k pot. Labor of love

Rangemaster and Electra distortion grounding

I am planning to build multiple circuits, pnp and npn in one metal enclosure, each with its own input and output jacks, each with separate power supplies. Will positive grounds and negative grounds , those from the output jacks making contact with the enclosure be a problem?

Re: Silicon Fuzz Face, Hendrix

For the schematics, just do a google search for the radio shack fuzz, substitute the 1k resistor for a 1k fuzz pot, also, use transistors with hfe somewhat below 130 for a wooly, warm sounding fuzz. I have made silicon and germanium fuzz faces per vintage spec. This circuit , the radio shack fuzz pr...

Re: JMI Vox - Grey Wah c. 1967

Ok, I guess I'll try to get a 250mh one. Also, on turretboard.org, are both layouts for the grey wah correct? If not, which is? The top, or bottom one? Thanks

Re: JMI Vox - Grey Wah c. 1967

Would 2 500mh inductors in parallel be similar to one 250 mh inductor? I understand the would have to be somewhat separated to shield the magnetic field....

Silicon Fuzz Face, Hendrix

Silicon fuzz face, modified the radio shack fuzz with a fuzz control, used fuzz face lower gain transistors, sounds great!
