Re: Little Lanilei 1/4 watt Tube Recording Amplifier
100K plate resistor removed and it sounds a lot better! Thanks for the tip and thanks for the schematic, I can't even remember where I found it.

Re: Little Lanilei 1/4 watt Tube Recording Amplifier
I actually built one of these last year from the attached schematic. I used a 12ax7 and 12au7, all tube with no solid state poweramp. It's a nice little amp that takes pedals really well, just not as loud as I thought it would be.

Re: OXFuzz
Ken from the psych/doom/blues band Sons Of Otis builds these. Their earlier albums are quite good but they're more doom than psych and blues these days, not really my thing. He has always had fantastic tone and plays 70s Japanese guitars out of a 70s Orange OR-120. https://www.facebook.com/sonsofotis

Re: Mad Professor - Blueberry [traced]
Thanks Mike. I also noticed the wrong orientation. I've tried a variety of FETs and orientations to no avail. My build does work and produces overdrive sounds but it doesn't sound good and nothing like an original unit. I'll have another bash at it tonight after work and see how I go.

Re: Mad Professor - Blueberry [traced]
Very helpful comments there I've checked over this thing a dozen times and I'm sure I haven't made a mistake but I have made some component substitutions listed above. Has anyone else built DimebuGG's v1.5 PCB or am I the guinea pig?

Re: Mad Professor - Blueberry [traced]
I got sound but it doesn't sound great. It sounds all gated and fizzy, the drive and texture knobs don't do much either. I'm using a TL061 and tried BF245C, 2N5457 and J201 but they all produce similar results. Any ideas anyone?

Has DimebuGG's v1.5 PCB been verified? I just built it and I'm not getting any sound.

Double sided foam tape
Hi guys, I see lots of people using "industrial strength" double-sided tape to secure their boards to the back of pots. My problem is I can't find any tape that can secure a board for more than a week, some tapes I've tried come unstuck within a couple of hours. Can anyone point me to a br...

Re: UTsource/Ebay
The seller has since left eBay. I can tell they're genuine by putting one into my DM-2 and seeing if I get the proper delay time, the fakes will usually have 1/2 or even 1/4 of the delay time of a legit IC. This issue has been discussed to death here; https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=1...

Re: UTsource/Ebay
I've managed to get 10+ genuine MN3005's recently but I had to go through a lot of fakes to find a genuine seller. This might not be the most popular advice but here goes. Find a seller on eBay, make sure the ICs look legit and ask the seller via eBay messaging if they are genuine. If they say it is...
