I want an original style Rangemaster enclosure + front panel [sold]
I want to make a Rangemaster replica for myself, one that will sit on top of my '64 AC30 TopBoost.
Where can I get my hands on an enclosure/front panel with graphics?
Cheers

Mo Faux Vibe mo' fu*ked
Got a Sweet Sound Mofaux in for repair, which is essentially a modded Phase 90. No effect or LED. When I connect ground the battery heats up, and no readings across the opamp pins. With no ground connected I get readings on the opamps. Replaced the zener and parallel 10uf electro cap. No joy. Any on...

Man. That's such an improvement. Thankyou.
Anyone with an MIJ DS-1 needs to change C11 to 47n.

Re: Boss - DS-1 Distortion mods (what works, what doesn't?)
I have a MIJ DS-1 and I HATE that BMP tonestack. No mids, no punch or grind. I'm thinking of fiddling around with the R/C network or just bypassing the tonestack altogether and linking it straight to the level pot. Anyone came up with an effective way to restore midrange to a Japan DS-1 before I get...

I have a board for the original Black Forest on page 1 on the DIY Stompbox thread. Is this the current/most recent version? Has it been updated?

Re: Fat Rat conversion + fb loop ?
Fat Rat - The key to this is in the dual Resistor/Capacitor network coming off the opamp. I believe from reading a few threads that increasing the capacitor on the 560 Ohm leg will up the bass. However from memory as this is PRE clipping it will muddy up the gain some. Ideally what you'd want for a ...

Re: MXR Microflanger [schematic]
Definately have connectivity and same voltages on pin 10 of 4069 and pin 1 of SAD.
Not sure where to go from here apart from tracing the signal...

Re: MXR Microflanger [schematic]
Yes ^^ O-scope time... check you have clock @ SAD's pin 1, it should be a pulse similar to the hand sketch (those T upside down) under R15 in schematic, oscillating somewhere between 133MHz and 850MHz @SAD's pin1 you should read the same voltage as @ 4069's pin 10, check they're connected Hmmm. No ...

Re: MXR Microflanger [schematic]
That was at the time of the hot hex-inverter. For some obscure reason, while nothing had changed, that heat is gone now. Pin 10 should carry the clock to the BBD. If there would be a low resistance that would make a lot os sense. You say osc. How do you verify it is oscillation an not just a voltag...

Re: MXR Microflanger [schematic]
God that looks terrible how thats come up...no spaces between the pin numbers, sorry!
Dirk have you suggested pin 10 as it's a final out/common point for the separate inverter stages? Just trying to figure out the logic there

Re: MXR Microflanger [schematic]
Cheers Dirk. I appreciate it. Well, no heat from the new 4069. But no flange, either. The battery snap was all but gone, hanging by a wire on the in jack, so thats out too. I took some quick voltages of the 4069 and SAD. Pin, then voltage, osc = oscillating 1 0v 14 9.5v 2 9.5v 13 osc .3 to 1.1v 3 0v...

Re: MXR Microflanger [schematic]
I'm currently debugging mine. Mine is an early 80's unit with factory LED and 9V tap on a 3.5mm Rat style pin. Symptoms are that the pedal puts out clean signal on both bypass and effect. I've measured all voltages on opamps and they are as per schematic, except for 4069 Hex Inverter which was readi...

Re: wtb - SAD 512D
Thanks Dirk, but alas, still no joy even with a new socketed 4069. I've got a feeling it's something to do with that oscillator...next step is to check for any dodgy connections and to measure the electrolytics. Mods may as well move this to a vintage MXR Microflanger thread if it exists as now this...
