Re: DSO Nano Oscilloscope - Is this worth buying/using?

I must say it does look cool. You may find this review useful. Thanks. Indeed, this is very useful. It's a hassle to get it to Europe though. High shipping charges and I assume there will be additional customs fees. A second channel would be great, also. There is the option to store the first wave ...

DSO Nano Oscilloscope - Is this worth buying/using?

Hi, I've been thinking about ordering one of these for a while, now. While this certainly is inferior in many ways to a "real" analog workbench unit, I wonder if the more experienced guys here could tell me whether the limited bandwith (1 Mhz) and Sample Rate would be sufficient for stompb...

Re: Catalinbread - SFT [traced]

Hi, I'm planning to build this for the bass player in my band. Has anybody tried this thing out with active and passive-pickups on bass, yet? Would it make sense to replace the input resistor with a 100KB-Pot to add some sort of Pre-Gain control. He's playing a 5-string Ibanez with active PUs and lo...

Rath Amp - Virtual 4X12 Cabinet

Since I benefitted so much from you guys, I figured it's time I give something back. I scored this on E-Bay. "Rath Amp" is named after a German Boutique Amp builder, called Juergen Rath. I got it very cheap and I did not yet have the time to try it out. Its regular price is about 100 EURO....

Re: Fulltone - Ultimate Octave

Hi, everybody. Thanks to this wonderful forum and everybody in here sharing knowledge, I managed to built this thing for a friend of mine. It was the third pedal I ever built and the first time ever, I etched my own PCB, using the toner transfer method. I'm not an electronic guru in any way. Just a ...

Re: The (almost) complete Big Jam schematics files.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Now I get it (partially at least).
Never really dealt with CMOS-switching before, since most schematics just exclude it.
Quite complex but interesting.
However, now the circuit doesn't appear quite as "spacey" as before.

Dirk_Hendrik wrote:Nope. Not al all.
But refer to them as 4011 and 4007UB (so without the manufacturer specific prefix) and your search will be easier ;)

Thanks, Dirk.

Could you give me a little hint on how this circuit works?
I'm still new on the CMOS field...

Re: The (almost) complete Big Jam schematics files.

The Space Driver looks interesting! Thanks! I got the SE-12 Chorus and I like it. I'm trying to understand what exactly the Space Driver does, but I can't really figure it out. I'm still just a guitar player, trying to get a little deeper into music electronic. Could somebody enlighten me a little ...

Re: Maestro Stage Phaser MP-1

Here is the service manual including schematic and layout. Thanks, mate. I already had that and I'm currently struggling to draw a PCB from that. But since this is the first time I'm trying it with a circuit as complex as that, I reckoned it might be good to have some pics of the real thing to doub...

Re: Maestro Stage Phaser MP-1

Is there anybody here who happens to own one and is willing to post some detailed gut shots?
There are plenty of pics of these pedals online, but none of the insides.

Pretty Please???

Re: Maestro - MFZ-1 ( Fuzz )( Norlin )

Ok, so I checked everything and I didn't find any incorrect values. All voltages are correct, all components work and have the correct specifications. I checked the IC-pins and every single one gets the correct voltage. I cannot really see what pin 3 is supposed to get. I measured 2.25 V. Is that co...

Re: Maestro - MFZ-1 ( Fuzz )( Norlin )

So here are a few pics of the thing. Maybe you find the mistkae, because I just don't. Sorry for hassling. The Pots are still wired in reverse on those pics, because I pin 1 with 3. But I already fixed that. I may also shorten some of the wires, because of noise issues. For instance those of the LED...

Re: Maestro - MFZ-1 ( Fuzz )( Norlin )

Hi, everyone. So, I'm new here as well and , just like jjacksonjj, I came across this page when looking for the MFZ-I. I have to say that I've been looking through various DIY-pages, but this Forum here is just amazing. Thanks to all you Stompbox-gurus for sharing your knowledge, because I don't kno...
