Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]

Hello!
Anybody had a chance to get a hold of one of those? Or at least any ideas at what the circuit might resemble?
This fuzz box sounds massive!

Here's a PGS demo:

WTF Master Volume

Hullo. I've been putting together my own od circuit when I noticed something a bit odd: when I added the master pot (I tried 22K, 100K, 500K and 1M) it actually acts as a volume pot of a tube amp (meaning that u have to crank it to get overdrive). Well, I know this is a common thing and in most anal...

J201 alternative?

Hey guys, it's near to impossible to find a J201 in Italy and I need those for runoffgroove projects. Can they be replaced, or do I need to search better?

No, The guy I made it for is a dickwad and he never showed up after he got the pedal... I guess I'll have to breadboard that sucker to make a demo :) will get to it 1st thing in the morning ;)

Re: DIY Shielded wire?

why not just cut up a cheap guitar cable? Speaking about thinking out of the box, I just found some old headphones with big chunky wire (much thinner than guitar cables). Only has a net of copper wires around the signal core, no foil, that ok? isn't that exactly how guitar cables are made? of cours...

Re: I think I'm going crazy. HELP!!!

thx bato. Ok, here's the pcb layout I'm preparing for the printing. It is almost the exact copy of the one submitted by ggedamed traced in photoshop  , I only added a 390 ohm resistor in series with the 9V+, helps to reduce noise from cheap power supplies I believe. I guess it's all done and r...

The FUZZ lug 1 is not grounded because that's how I interpreted your layout, I only saw two FUZZ lugs.[...] Oh, by now you must've guessed I've mixed TOUCH and FUZZ in my reply  . Anyway, both discrepancies (FUZZ and BIAS) can be easily repaired with small jumpers. It looks like an silicon Fu...

Re: I think I'm going crazy. HELP!!!

I am a little late to the party on this one, but I have to put in my 2 cents LOL. My first PCB design was for a Modern Swollen Pickle clone and I did the same as you TV. I routed shit all around the outside with long traces running parallel and the hiss was very distinct and made the pedal unusable...

You didn't tell me - how far is my schematic from yours (being traced from a layout with no values and all that)? Woops, I didn't realize you missed the schematic pic I posted right in the beginning, strange, it won't show  Here's the original schematic, repost. I think if u had the schema...

Re: DIY Shielded wire?

You could add a bare copper wire outside the aluminum foil and inside the heat shrink, then solder the bare copper wire to ground. Dr Balls is right about soldering directly to aluminum foil not working. That's just the thing I was doing here... 1st layer of tin foil then I twisted a bare copper wi...

DIY Shielded wire?

Hullo! Where I live it's kinda difficult to find shielded wire... Could I just: > take ordinary solid core gauge 24 copper wire in its plastic tubing. > wrap it nicely with a long strip of tin foil. > put it all in a heat shinkable tubing. Sort of a thin home made satellite dish cable or similar Wou...
