Re: Bogner - Harlow Compressor (gut shots) [traced]

Niet dat het voor de werking iets uitmaakt ;-) True. i just mentioned it as there will be a notabel difference between a 220R and 10k. whoa, hold it! Are we singing from the same page here? The sketch above is the sidechain circuit. Indeed with a 220n and 10k series connection setting the gain for ...

you're right.

And for the Rotwell reference, thanks. It shows how much I only work with Mosfets over the last few years and automatically assume a FET to be in the below 100mOhm range.

Re: Ibanez AF-9 Problem

Hi Folks, I have a vintage Ibanez AF-9 Auto-Filter and it makes a squeeling noise that almost sounds like a feedback when the effect is engaged. What could that be? I could´t find a Schematic for it, but I have another one for the AFL which I guess from the ibanez product history must be the same c...

And a small update: https://i.ibb.co/MNBFpfv/Bogner-Harlow.jpg You're doing a great job here. Keep up the good work. Same as for the Sansamp threads, I really take my hat off for those who dare to attack epoxied circuits. Allow me to give a few comments and ask questions: Below is a quick sketch of...

Enquire at effectsdatabase.com. Bart, the owner, has a weak spot for vintage USSR effects pedals.

But, just as well, I assumed your DRAM is de DIL18 version. Here's the datasheet: https://www.datasheets360.com/pdf/-5481007005091624953 Keyword is that it's a 1Megx1 device. By googling that one I ended up here: http://www.amiga-stuff.com/hardware/1mx1-dram.html Scroll below and see that the pinout...

Re: Digitech - PDS 8000 Echo Plus 8 [schematic]

For my understanding; All IC's but the memory were replaced but that did not fix the issue. I give you credits for not targeting at the most difficult to obtain part as being the prime suspect. That's a way more common approach ;-) What I miss in this thread are some basic verification measurements....

A general consensus states that device circuit diagrams are always drawn in the disengaged situation... I think that also applies to a MXR clone. Mic, Nice to see you back. Re: Ibanez PT-9 whining/weak modulation issue

What you describe is a close to classic case that happens to almos all PT and FL9's . The oscillator caps have started leaking. Remove them, clean the copper traces throughly and replece them with 2 new 47uF caps. They are in series to form a bipolar cap so connect them with either the + or the -ter...

So, not to make smartass comments from the side only :)

I'd say the Module contents should look like this:

1/11 update: I decided to remove all the parts for the Electric Mistress out of my "Squawking Owl" and rewire everything for use in an independent pedal with it's own jacks, batteries, slide switch, and temporarily and on/off power switch. This will ensure it is not imnpacted by any of th...

Re: EHX Vintage issues

Thanks. You're right. I was a bit verbose. Yeah the Reticon I bought theoretically is good but if something else is wrong feeding it, that adds to the puzzle. I feel like I need to introduce a sine wave at a given amplitude, in the frequency range of say a guitar A string, to the input of the flang...

Re: EHX Vintage issues

The reticon chips are a common source of failure. Even NOS ones aren't guaranteed to work. Allow me to disagree. In almost all SAD1024 based repairs I did the BBD was NOT the defective part. However, it is fairly common to point at this part as the culprit as it is the most difficult and hardest to...

That one has a lot of fairy dust in it... +1. I was still hoping that after so many years of pedal hypes the endless flow of mojo pedals would dry. On the contrary, again a vintage TS has surfaced that, against all odds, was owned by a known player and sounds incrediby dfferent, and surprise (!!) b...

Wouldn't it be an idea to post voltages of your breadboard build? It might help a lot in the analysis of the issue. And perhaps it might help doing a simulation, like mauman tried already, to compare your results against.

I got another one in. I noticed my old schematic was removed or the link died. So here is the schematic: Hot Tubes EH3075B 1980.JPG This unit is the EH3075B version; what should be the EH3075 version? Pic of my unit are on my blog / see my sig I'd say the 20k resistor for U1B should go to Vbias aft...
