Re: Darkglass B3K [traced]
Here's another schematic based on the GUMA: http://peperspedals.blogspot.nl/2017/02/a-brief-guide-into-tracing-out-pcb-to.html and the update on that: http://peperspedals.blogspot.nl/2017/03/b3k-clone-update.html I also made a Vero out of it, but I still haven't checked it: http://diyl.sait.nl/guma-...

Re: Orange OR80 Style Build
Hi Dr Tony Balls, beautiful amp!! :applause: I have a question, what amps is that 2mH inductor ? I'd like to make this amp but with 6V6s. Thanks for posting this. Aharon That's a .8A inductor, but it doesnt need to be near that high. How much current will flow through that inductor? Less than 200mA? ...

Re: DOD 230 Photocell?
The LED of the Optocoupler is depicted as ... LED! The variable resistor part (LDR) is nicely drawn as green wires ;) The Optocoupler has text on it which side is the LED and which pin is the +. In this case, the Optocoupler should face the vero with the LED-part down, and the + on the second row. ....

I replaced the clear blue 3mm with a diffused red one and the clear blue 5mm with a clear green one.
Sunglasses can be removed now!

Re: MXR Classic 108 Fuzz [schematic]
Crap: almost forgot ... the 2 blinding blue LEDs. Now where can I find which resistor I have to raise ... The 330R can't be it and I'm pretty sure the two 5M6's arent either. That leaves me with a 470k (R3), a couple of 100k's (R7, R14, R18) and a 47k (R17). All of these seem rather high for...

Re: MXR Classic 108 Fuzz [schematic]
Ok, it looks like all the other components are used for the double bypass switching. Is anybody interested in that part of the fuzz? I mean, I'd love to make a complete schematic for it, but it just will take me a lot of time and I guess nobody really wants to clone that part of the circuit anyway. ...

Re: MXR Classic 108 Fuzz [schematic]
This makes sense for a simple generic bjt buffer. I generally make buffer like that with a Fet, even simpler, a 1M from gate to ground, drain to V+, Source to a 10K to ground, output capaictor bigger enough, 4 components. I'm interested in the R13 value: I used a 10K in a buffered FF I built some a...

Re: Where's the EDIT button?
Perhaps, but then people could still go back and "edit" their contributions by deleting the contents of their posts. True, that's why there's probably an option to disable editing after "X" hours. Not being able to edit anything after you submit your post is just weird. Edit: di...

You can delete attachments using the control panel long after they've been posted. Got to 'User Control Panel' > 'Manage attachments'. I did this to remove an incorrect schematic. Damn I didn't even know this - thanks so much your feedback. Over the course of the last 3,5y the site was online, we h...

Re: MXR Classic 108 Fuzz [schematic]
Cool Harold! I would have finished the trace but I only had the pedal for 1 night. Looking forward to seeing what the buffer looks like. :thumbsup Mee too ;) I will first answer some questions like the 47k (R4) and the 47pF (C5) connections before trying to trace the buffer and switching parts. The...
