I’ll give it a try, TY.blackboarcult wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 22:40 Maybe putting a small value resistor (e.g.2k2) between input and lug 3 of gain pot or between lug2 and the 10uF cap would fix it...

Re: Earthquaker Devices - Acapulco Gold [traced]
I have been experimenting lately with good results but for the life of me can't get the input volume pots to work silently at max input level. I am currently using a C1M before the 10uf input cap, but have had no change with value swaps as low as 100k. With the input gain wide open the pedal turns i...

Re: Amptweaker Defizzerator [traced]
I didn't understand what's the difference with the schematic on the orange box above. The 1k resistor is 1k. Is the position of the 1k, before and not after the caps? Indeed placed after the caps it's weird, I'd say. yes, just noting that it is a little different than my actual unit, that resistor ...

Re: Amptweaker Defizzerator [traced]
This is not 100 percent correct. I traced my own unit and created a shared PCBWay project if you want to add to your next order: https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/DEFIZZERATOR_CLONE_PCB_376bfcb1.html I did notice the resistor was a precision 1.000K if you want an "accurate" clone...

Re: EMG Active Pickup Circuit?
I built the bajaman version identical to the Electrosmash schematic and Im having issues. The circuit/opamp is distorting from the pickup input. I am using a 12.5K ceramic seven string humbucker. Ive built the circuit multiple times and can rules out error. I am using two 12v batteries for 24V and t...

Re: Zvex - Machine
are the diodes in parallel to ground the only components attributing to the fuzz/distortion that the pedal is capable of on its own?
in other words, will removing the diodes allow me to influence the distortion of my tube amp into crossover sounds without than adding any additional dirt?

Re: What about SS preamp into tube power section?
for a few years ive been experimenting with jfet preamps into tube power amps using the runoffgroove methodology and fx loop returns on quite a few poweramps. only 100 watters though. I found that 18 volts was better and that it ahould be capable of huge out put levels to facilitate choosing any amo...

Re: How to choose an output transformer?
It would be great to see a layout for the power amp section alone, one that could be used with any preamp or distortion pedal for fractional watt volumes.
