Thanks.

Re: Crowther Audio - Hot Cake Overdrive [traced]
Tried, but no luck.
I think I will build this layout on pcb and check if this will help:

Re: Crowther Audio - Hot Cake Overdrive [traced]
Tried some stuff.
Tried to use LM741 and LM351 opamps, no difference.
Tried to use a capacitor parallel with the 100k feedback resistor, didn't help either.
Tried to use a capacitor in parallel with the 470p capacitor, oscillation disappears but the gain reduces drastically.
Any ideas?

Re: Crowther Audio - Hot Cake Overdrive [traced]
I made this pedal from this layout:
I made it true bypass.
It works well but oscillates when engaged. Does not oscillate in bypass. How should I start looking for a solution?
Thanks

Re: Emma - Reezafratzitz [ goop-alarm ] [traced]
Built this thing last week. Didn't work in the first place, but later on I spotted a connection between traces due to a bad etch. After the fix it started working. Everything works well, sounds great, however i consistently wired all of the 4 pot meters backwards. Here are some pics and will post so...

Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
Ok, cool, so I finished it. I ended up with 2n2222 transistors. I also tried the 2sc828 but they reduced the gain of the pedal. I find it strange because i measured the transistors and the 2sc828 had a higher HFE than 2n2222.
And i doublechecked the pin layout.

Is there already a version 1.3.?
Can you post the project files?

...It may also produce the most noise. That would happen when both transistors are active at the same time for tiny, tiny signals; that would also account for the "least gated" note, maybe. I never noticed the noise as particularly varying, but I guess it could happen if you use noisy res...

Thanx R.G.
Yes, the newbies have to learn a lot yet.
What can you tell me about the delayed blast of hiss about a split second after you hit a note or chord Brad was talking about in the earlier posts. I am experience them too.

Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
I am still wondering what this intern trimpot really does? This comes from the byoc manual for the Leeds Fuzz: There are rumors circulating the internet that this trimpot controls the amount of octave effect that mixes in with the fuzz. This is somewhat true, but keep in mind that if you used this t...

Re: Vox Duel Overdrive tube / cloning?
Here you can find the schematic for the Vox Big Ben Overdrive.
I've been told that the Vox Duel overdrive is basically twice the big ben.

Re: Vox Duel Overdrive tube / cloning?
This pedal is actually 2 times VOX Big Ben Overdrive only with a bass boost.
I thought already that the tube isn't really doing any huge overdrives here. There is way too much gain in thi pedal to come from a tube.

Re: Vox Duel Overdrive tube / cloning?
Oh yeah exaclty, it has one of those blue leds behind the tube, looks fancy.
So what would be the procedure to convert this into a schematic and a new pcb + layout?

Hey I opend it up and actyally it is singlesided and doesn;t look really complicated, however i find it very difficult to track down. Vox - CT07DO Cooltron Duel Overdrive
I own this pedal: Vox Duel Overdrive. http://www.mydukkan.com/media/vox.voxcooltrondueloverdrive.jpg I like this pedal so much, i would like to replicate it. I opened it up once and it is full of smd components. Is there anyone who can help me trace it and make a schematic and a pcb layout and a com...
