nice dubby sound i guess i need to build this one :) do you think it's possible to build it into a 1590B? I think it's very possible to fit a Rebote int a B sized box. I've made 6 so far! There is a perfboard layout on my web site. http://www.webdevils.com/stompbox/?cat=5 Those PCB's that you sell ...

nice dubby sound i guess i need to build this one :) do you think it's possible to build it into a 1590B? Order a Rebote 2 PCB from Tonepad or etch your own from this PDF here and make the necessary parts changes. I haven't looked real close at this but I'd say that's all ya really gotta do.

I agree it saves space and looks cool but, it uses space less efficiently as well sometimes. It can be hard to run traces under standing resistors. It's kind of a catch 22 though and depends on the circuit whether there's an advantage or not. You're learning, Grasshopper. Thank you, Master!

Those pics are nice. See how he does that thing with most of the resistors and diodes standing up to save space? I do that all the time with my layouts, which is why it's nearly impossible for me to draw accurate layouts of my builds with the LayoutCreator program. The first kit I ever built (a Rad...

Any update on this??
I just was at the Demeter website.
The builds sound pretty good but, pricey.

And thanks MarkM for the layout! Try to add a link to schematic you used - I find it impossible to debug without schemo's. Yeah, I've been trying to add schems with my posts and it's a slow process as I'm adding them as I come across things in my files which to be quite honest.......are a damn mess...

adding the master volume essentially allows you to drive the bs170 and distort it? I think it would be cool if it was a trim pot instead and you could just have a set and forget gain sound. It kinda does but, the Gain actually changes the biasing and the tonal structure of it. (Christ! I sounded li...

do you really need the pulldown resistor? Yeah, It'll kill the TBP pop. Thanks for the info guys, guess the added MV is old news! Nahh, don't feel bad. I have a bunch of things I've done with this circuit that I have posted. I like the SHO myself and I think I've gotten about as much mileage out of...

Re: SHO W/Master Volume Schem

Found this schem on my 'puter, no idea where it came from. Looks like an SHO with a very simple master volume on the output. I thought an MV was a good idea, I built a few of these and they distort and boost lows, an MV might clean it up. Anyone think the MV is a good design? Schem here: https://s2...

2N5485 are easy, as are 2N5292. Both Vgsoff = 1.5-3.0V.
So THAT explains the difference in my Buckaroo circuit. :?
It's seems quieter plus it sounds much better to my ears than alot of the single JFET boosts I have built.
It uses a 2N5292 and sounds marvelous! :D
