Re: Danelectro Rocky Road Ramp footswitch problem
Thanks.
The main reason for the re-house was because the original switches were flimsy and didn't work well.
The Line6 delay units use a tactile switch with a spring actuator. any idea where i can find something like that, or something similar to the momentary switch for the on/off functionality?

Danelectro Rocky Road Ramp footswitch problem
hi All, I'm in the process of rehousing a Danelectro Rocky Road and have run into an issue. i've been trying to bugfix this on and off for a few weeks thinking that taking a break and coming back with a fresh set of eyes might help but i'm still stuck. The problem is with the ramp footswitch - it se...

Re: RG Keen's latching relay driver for bypass switching [SOLVED]
hi all, Sorry for the necro bump. I build this relay using the above posted oshpark board but i get the inverse behaviour - the LED comes on when the relay is in the bypass state and the LED turns off when the effect is engaged. i've tried 2 different boards and both have the same behaviour. Is ther...

relay bypass in inverse state.
hi all. i just built a pedal and used the OSH park relay bypass circuit found here: https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=9752&p=249402&hilit=relay+bypass it was working, but during some troubleshooting i may have touched a lead or done something while unplugging the power ...

when to braid wires and when not to?
In an effort to try and clean up the wiring in my builds i'd like to try and start to braid the wires going to the pots. i'm guessing/assuming that tone controls shouldn't add noise, but gain and volumes controls make me nervous, especially with high gain pedals like the dr. boogie. can i safely bra...

Re: "Perfect" alignment with waterslide decals
Man, I don't know why I haven't done it that way in the past... I guess I always assumed that because the waterslide was so delicate that it would be turn up by the drill bit.
I did my first attempt at waterslide first then drilling and it worked like a charm!
Thanks for the tip!

"Perfect" alignment with waterslide decals
What I've been doing for the last year is printing out my artwork on plain paper and again on a waterslide. I use the paper printout to mark all of the holes on the enclosure, drill it, and then apply the waterslide. The problem is that sometimes, despite my best efforts, the paper template shifts a...

Re: Modern SLO 100 emulator
I am thinking of doing the veroboard version, but am a little confused on how I am going to add trimpots in place of those bias resistors.... Pin 1 to the 9v rail and pin 2 to the fet, but I am not sure how to make it fit and look "pretty". How close do you think this sounds to a 5150 cons...

I've been thinking about building this and have been trying to research it to see what it sounds like.
Has anyone built this? What does it sound like?

protips for clean wiring
Apologies if this topic exists elsewhere - i did a search and came up with nothing. Question for the seasoned veterans: What tips and trick do you guys have for getting neat and clean wiring inside your pedals? I find that as soon as I get into veroboard builds that I have trouble estimating how muc...

Re: OKKO Dominator [traced]
Hi all. Just finished my build of this pedal and it is amazing so far. I used rev 3 from sabrotone http://www.sabrotone.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/OkkoDominator.gif A few questions How sensitive is the eq? I only really hear major differences in the treble pot in the last 20-25% of the range. Th...

Re: Ravi C - Seventheaven (Bogner inspired)
Built this am out a month ago using the sabrotone layout. https://youtu.be/lbQDwg0u6wE I found that unless the boost was on and the gain was cranked that this was not a "high gain" pedal. I will try replacing R17 with a 1 meg and report back. I'm also going to do a play through demo when I...
