I will take the safe route and just use a stereo pot with one tier for passive and one for active volume adjustment.

I once had to repair a George Dennis wah (the normal orange one). I wrote an email to them and had schematic and layout in my mail the same day. Maybe there is no need to trace that.

For our non - german speaker. Immo suggested back-lit flash. Unfortunately that won't help as the massive copper groundplane is light proof.

I just got one of these on my workbench. Even after desoldering the pots, no real chance of visulazing the traces on the component side due a ground plane underneath the silkscreen.
Any ideas of how to do this better?

Could somebody who actually knows some electronics check the schematic on plausibility? Especially the JFET section with the two 1M resistors look unfamiliar to me. Can this be right?

I finally did it. My first "real" trace. Still, three cap values are missing but I am going to get them sooner or later.

I found the Vintage model and guess I am just as happy with this one.

Thank you very much for this schematic and the layout. I modified Rockman's layout (sorry for the two huge jumpers) as there were some deviations from the schematic. I already build it and it astonishingly worked first time. I have no idea how good it works, because I have to test this in my rehears...
