Re: Resistor wattage in Univibe

I guess it would be fine for the LFO part as well. The power in the bulb is handled by the driver transistor, and the current driving from the LFO is rather low.

Just mind the power in the bulb / driver / pot (+ safety resistor) circuit.

Good catch then, thx for the feedback! Seems like you have a B+ and negative bias transformer!!

Very neat setup indeed! :D [smilie=a_goodjob.gif]

Re: Power Transformer PT009 - CTM 33302 info

worries me because you would think the resistances would be the same on both halves which they aren't Actually the extra coils (BK to BR) may be to switch between 115 or 120 input and or 230 / 240 when you use the primaries in series or parallel.. You can also use a signal generator at 60 (or 50) H...

Re: Ibanez - UE400 and UE405 [schematic]

I have one here found for 5 euros at a charity shop without the FS. I thought about making a new pcb to retrofit instead of the original connector one, using a 9 pin parallel socket (old mouse type). That would allow the original one to be put back in if required, and would allow a DIYed fooswitch t...

Re: Rocktek BBD Delay. No Power. Please, I need Troubleshooting Help. Hi Def Photos.

Hi, check for voltages at ICs power pins with a fresh battery (input jack plugged in!) or power supply. Considering you have no LED and don't even have bypass sound, my guess is that you don't have any power at all, it may be shorted or disconnected somehow (provided the dry signal is always on). Do...

MXR Dynacomp (CA3080 Rev E. - 2006) noise fix [SOLVED]

Hi, just reporting a repair on my 2006 MXR Dynacomp (rev E. with CA3080). Problem was a "frying bacon" sound. I removed the socketed IC and audioprobed it. The noise was at both pin 2 and 3, so it was before the IC. Noise was also at the base of the first transistor, and up to the positive...

Re: Guyatone Multi Octaver PS-009 - only dry sound

From the photo it looks as if the pad may have lifted off the board. If so, then you will need to work out where it is supposed to connect, and solder it directly there with a piece of insulated wire - just like the 2 that are already in place. No, that's one leg of the switch, it dosn't need to be...

Re: Univibe Pitch Modulation

I think of it as the doppler effect with a honking car driving at constant speed. The pitch is altered depending on how fast the car is coming towards you (higher pitch), or how fast it goes away from you (lower pitch). Now if the car goes back and forth, (assuming it can make an instantaneous U tur...

Re: Anyone have a picture of Peavey Ultraverb PCB? [SOLVED]

Try and locate the power rails on the PCB and see if the orientation of the ICs match... Try to measure continuity between power pins of different ICs to see again if it matches the pinout.

No ticking on this one for sure, although it may benefit from a buffer or two?
Could be interesting to remix it with the Vox Repeat Percussion?

Re: Parallel mixing different signals and Boss DD-5...

Looks like the analog signal reaches the "R Output" (which i guess is the "PANNING Output" on the pedal) at all times.
