But to be honest its not this scene that worries me, hey I've enjoyed building pedals for myself over the years. Its the lurkers that reside ...

update, the mod on the back is a low pass filter. changing the resistor value adds the high end back in somewhat.

Re: B&M Sola Sound - Fuzz Unit [schematic]
I had the right pots (Citec, look like the originals) but the thread on the pot wasn't long enough to go through the pcb, enclosure and not short on the inside of the case. Shame but it woeks nicely and looks ok inside so i'm not too fussed.

Re: B&M Sola Sound - Fuzz Unit [schematic]
built one of these (actually two the same) using peps boards for myself, Here is some pics. Sounds great and well worth the effort. The mojo of the original looking boards just adds to the sound :D :D Cheers Peps!! https://i335.photobucket.com/albums/m447/thorpy6/BMClone.jpg https://i335.photobucket...

That was me, thanks for fixing it and sorry for not getting it right in the first place. I drew a few layouts in one day the others were PNP with Positive ground so the omission was as a result of that.mcaviel wrote:Did't drew the layout but fixed the -9

Hi, i only really posted the photo on BYOC to showcase the builders talent and so i am happy for it to appear in this context. However I would rather not take any more photos for disection if that is ok.

This is my photo from the inside of my pedal and I personally think its good value, cos it sounds great and is really well built. Definitely better priced than some boutique overdrives i could mention.

Re: BJF - Honey Bee Overdrive degooped [traced]
I've just finished my clone of this pedal and whilst i love the dynamics and think its a very clever overdrive i have my reservations............ a) The nature pot is so subtle its untrue, you can hear changes but you need the ears of a bat. b) The pedal is too bass heavy, overly warm even. A great ...

Re: Way Huge - Aqua-Puss [traced]
One question though, i can't get the delay to self oscillate despite it sounding fantastic, does that indicate an error in the build? No self oscillation does not necessarily indicate an error in the build - you probably just want to play with the value of R24. The "stock" value was 22K. ...
