Re: BOSS schematics [schematic]
Anybody checked out the insides of the 40th Anniversary DS-1?
Any gut shots floating around out there?
Just curious what changes there were, if any.

Re: Zvex '59 Sound [traced]
Bumping this one as I’ve got one about to start building.
Does that 1M bass pot mod affect the mids at all?
I’m sold on the idea of the mid stock/boost caps on a switch, but being able to roll off bass as well has my interest.
Just curious how much overlap/interaction there is, if any.

Got in on the first batch - they've sold out already. Should be here on Monday, but the build docs aren't updated yet.J0K3RX wrote:https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/thermionic-deluxe/

Re: Friedman BE-OD Pedal [traced]
Anybody tried running one of these with a 500K gain pot instead of 1M?
I did that with a Dr. Boogey years ago and that made a big difference in the range I could work with; I plan on trying that with this and the DS-OD.

Re: Friedman BE-OD Pedal [traced]
https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/thermionic-deluxe/ Yep, saw that yesterday and got on the email notification. Curious if the channels are going to be identical, or if one channel will be lower gain like the original. Would be cool to have the option of two BE circuits, or two DS, OR one DS/one BE....

Re: Way Huge - Pork Loin [traced]
Right there with ya man. Been on the fence between the two, as I like those hex inverter distortions for my peavey classic. Just saw perf and PCB released a layout for the fat drive but pedalpcb came out for a very nice looking board for the pork loin and have gone that route. I got 20 of the trans...

Re: Way Huge - Pork Loin [traced]
Toying between the Pork Loin and the Fat Sandwich as my next build. They're both (about) as complex. Don't really NEED another high-gainer, but I've heard the FS is pretty amazing/versatile. However, I don't have that many low/medium gainers - working on a Barber Gain Changer, and have a Maxon OD-80...

Is this strictly to be used with a power amp, or can it be used as a dirt pedal / AIAB in front of an existing bass amp?

Re: Friedman BE-OD Pedal [traced]
So I just etched Frabbio's layout, then saw that it takes the BAV99-type diodes.
Is there an available replacement for those? Or are the ones sold by Tayda workable?
Thanks

Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]
A couple of questions, since I've never really been into OCDs until recently. 1) Heard a demo of the 1.6 or 1.7 version last night (comparing it to a DLS III) and was wondering if there are schems for those anywhere. I've only seen info for v1.0 thru 1.4. 2) Is there an audio comparison/description ...

I'm working one out in Adobe Illustrator, but if there's something already available, I'd be keen to have a look.

Re: Ramble FX - Marvel Drive 1.0 [traced]
Few mistakes: R17 and 18 are wrong, probably 'cause of copying, they should be 47R and also charge pump schematic is for TC1044 or 7660 not LT1054. If you want to use 1054 you need to lift pin 1. Also your vb and va are connected so decoupling is not existing and also there is no diode protection i...

Re: Ibanez - FL-9 Flanger [schematic]
Resurrecting this one with an interesting finding: I just got an FL-301DX (9V) on Monday (2nd one I've owned). It has a really noisy 'swoosh' (like air blowing), but the flanging works fine, so I opened it up to have a look. It also runs the MN3207. After taking hi-res shots of the solder side, I no...
