Re: Zvex - Seek Trem [traced]
Makes sense. A bit of protection for the builder. Another question about this... I have it on my breadboard with the tremulous Lune audio side instead right now, and the ticking from the sequencer is crazy loud. Is this just going to be a given on a breadboard with this circuit, seeing as I have wir...

Re: Zvex - Seek Trem [traced]
Actually... Looking at it further, this is just a protection diode, right? This could likely be omitted? Thoughts?

Re: Zvex - Seek Trem [traced]
Thanks for the info. I'll go that route. Next question... I don't have any 1N757A here, nor any other zener diodes of that voltage. Is there some work-around for this? What is it's function in the circuit? I was thinking of just using the audio section from the Tremulous Lune instead of this Zvex se...

Re: Zvex - Seek Trem [traced]
Those 2M7 resistors. Could someone explain their function to me? I am not that adept... Could these be subbed with say 2M2? Or I guess I could use a 2M2 and a 470K in series to get closer to the 2M7. I just don't have anything of that value. But I do have 2M2 and 470k...

Got this all boxed up. Thought I would show you guys the final product. Thanks again for the help.

Re: Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]
Yeah, I have traced it against the schematic. Looks good. Thanks again for the help.

Re: Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]
That 2n2 between Q1 and Q2 should be 4n7. I have traced this and it seems correct. Anyone want to verify?

Re: Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]
I'll play around. Maybe I have something messed up on my board. For now, I have done up this layout based on the EffectsLayouts.Blogspot site layout. I moved a few things around and am limiting the clipping options to LED, and 4148 and the diode lift. Anyone want to put a second set of eyes on this ...

Re: Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]
Just looking at this circuit. I am not an expert, by any means. Could someone explain how this tone control works? I have been trying to learn about tone controls and this one doesn't seem to match any of the common ways I am learning about for controlling the tone. How is the tone pot controlling t...

Re: Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]
Will do! I figured that would be a place to go as well. Thanks. Really loving the sound of this circuit overall.

Re: Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]
Hey there! Thanks for the info so far. I just played around with this on my breadboard again. Sounds great. One thing I notice is that it sounds a little dark with my Strat, of all things... To get a little more treble response from this pedal, would I just change the input capacitor? output cap? Wh...

Re: Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]
In the demos I have seen of this pedal there doesn't usually seem to be a huge volume drop when they switch to the 2 Si options. Any thoughts on what the cause is here? Either they adjusted the volume in editing, or they have some kind of automatic level control going on. There is a MASSIVE volume ...

Re: Function f(x) Clusterfuzz [traced]
Hello all! I just boarded this up on my breadboard and it sounds pretty fantastic. One thing that happens to me is that there is a significant volume drop when selecting the BAT41s and 1N914s, as compares to the LEDs and FETs. It is also significantly louder without clipping, but that makes sense to...

Re: Little VOODOO VIBE project by Kaputepalla [documentation]
Those LDRs should work. The neat thing about this circuit is that it has that bias control in addition to the depth. You can tune in any decent LDR. I have ones in there that go down to 2k and up to 500k or so. This is in bright light in my shop, not sure what they go to in the circuit. I just finis...
