Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
Cost effectiveness, use the layouts that the guys have done up here, imo. They are pretty easy to follow. I've made a couple and they sound killer on bass.

Re: Sola Sound - Tonebender Mark II Professional [schematic]
. Anyone else build these things with the mojo stuff? Notice any real differences? No difference at all! Carbon composition resistors just add hiss (particularly high value ones) and are cheaply replaced with metal film types. The older capacitors are just bigger than the modern equivalents - they ...

Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
Check for the slightly darker colouring on the (usually) bottom. That's negative. They are all orientated the same way except C8 i think, but don't quote me on that!

I've read about Locoboxes somewhere but for the life of me can't remember where ot was
maybe it was on the pages mentioned or in some Super-Fuzz dispatches...

Zoom Ultra Fuzz UF-01 gut shots [schematic]
I don't know if this is of any use to anyone but...
here's a couple of gut shots of my Ultra Fuzz. Can add others (better?)if anyone wants them.

Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
Finally got one of these together on the weekend. Many thanks to ShortScaleMike for his layout and all who had input on it. I can say that this build is a whole lot better to my ears than the Leeds Fuzz kit that i built. Both use 2SC828s but this has an unadulterated rawness that leaves the BYOC som...

Did another of these yesterday, this time with 2222's at just on 200 and a 1k wool pot.
This one seems right on the money! Pinch is actually useful.

Re: you can help to fight the goop - FSB Tracer's Fund
Ive just thrown a couple of $$$ in. Not as much as i just saved by making my own woolly Mammoth clone courtesy of this forum but what i could afford. I don't care what gets degooped as i'm here for the learning and there are more than enough things to keep me going for a long time. Many thanks people.

Re: Zvex - Woolly Mammoth [traced]
Just finished my first 'build from scratch' Many thanks to this forum and Gila_Crisis for his vero layout. Used a pair of 3904s both at 200hfe and a 5k pot for wool...will do another with some different trans and am going to change to a 1k wool pot. Sounds a little synthy, but not too much. Wails in...

Newbie question:
would using NTE 289A's (537G equivalents) on Shortscalemike's vero layout require any other changes?
cheers
