E-line, yes thanks.I had an old chart where it was described, unfortunately lost it, had forgotten the name.

Still, I'm pretty sure its a BJT.

Re: Rogue Sound - Savage Henry (DAM related)

Maybe it's an old transistor, In my Phase 90 the PNP comes in that exact same package, don't know the classifier, though; maybe some manufacturers adopted the TO-92 later.

And I could swear I've seen them in the flip-flop sections of some BOSS pedals, or BOSS knockoffs.

Re: Foxrox - Wah before fuzz retrofit ( buffer )

Some misinformation in that post; Is the fuzz that screws up the sound because its LOW INPUT IMPEDANCE is loading down the previous circuit, so, you could buffer the wah at its output to solve the deal but; it doesn't work because the goddamn picky fuzz will sound like garbage (in a bad way) if you ...

Pretty curious, this one doesn't have the Trimpot that is attached to the solder side of the other examples.

I don't know if that can be understood as a 'boost', it's the resonance peak. You get that just by using your cable, though.

I'm guessing these reissues have PCB's, a solder Joint may be dodgy.

If you want it so much you should buy it.

As soon as there is an update, it will be posted. I think that's the way this works.

Re: Strat rewire to SSH with 3 position switch

Not at all. You just have to keep in mind taht in order to have your 'humbucker', the single coil pickups used need to be of reversed magnetic polarity and reverse wound. Otherwise, you'll get hum-cancelling but with a weak sound or a strong sound but with the hum. If you get the hum with the weak s...

Re: Frantone Acoust-A-Boost Guts

Why on earth is she shrinkwrapping the DPDT? Is the solder-side of the PCB touching it? That's weird. If the switch loosens and the ignorant guitar player tightens it from the outside only, the switch WILL short out agains the case. That's at least what it looks like. These switches have wing-like ...

Re: Volume pedal after buffer

Well, it would be more accurate to say that your signal now has a low impedance, so it would be safe to try the 25k potentiometer.

If it was otherwise; you taking your raw guitar signal (high impedance) into a 25k pot for the volume control, you'd lose a lot of signal.

Re: Volume pedal after buffer

I'd say, anything that doesn't load the signal. For instance, Ernie Ball sells two passive volume pedals, the standard one uses a 250k pot, and the one that is for use with active guitars uses a 25k pot. I guess it's, in some way, to roughly imitate the volume control of your instrument. Something c...
