Re: Major Belton Brick 2H issues.

Probably something wrong with the unit.. it's a careful balance of feedback, so if one of the resistors in there is the wrong one it might feedback like no other by itself.

Re: Demedash Effects - T120 Videotape Echo Pedal [traced]

So it has come to my attention that it is not a 'unique' design, but may be based on the Keeley Magnetic Echo with a tone control and maybe some extra modulation. ILF talked about this matter-of-factly in february, and the early versions even used a PedalPCB Magnetron pcb . One can clearly see the ...

Re: PT2399 delay without distortion - NE571

I think because companding is a technique to minimise (clock)noise introduced by the BBD chip. In a PT2399 there is not much audible clock noise introduced. Yes there is distortion if you push it too hard or if your delay time is too long. The only search I was aware of is to reduce the distortion o...

Re: Stereo hard panning repeat percussion design help

Ok, so you want the pulses to alternate between two channels right? I think something like this might work. I'd say the first thing you need to do is to is as you suggest create a signal that selects the output. Something like a comparator into a flipflop should do. The output voltage of the flipflo...

Re: A SIMPLE OCTAVER DOWN

Resurrecting an old thread. I am transferring the hand drawn schematic to Eagle, but I can't locate R18 and R19 on the schematic. ( both 47k )
Also on the BOM the two 100R's in the power section are omitted.

I have both, but somewhere I read he took it out of print because it contained too many errors. I really like his books, they are well written and easy to follow.

It's verified now btw...

Made some small improvements/fixes to give it some more punch (high end) and less bass heavy. Now it's GOOD

Dutch Power Fuzz (switchable octave up)

Hi all, Being unsatisfied with the sound of most octave fuzzes I tried/listened to I decided to cook something up myself. This is really nothing new, but just a 2+2=5. I took the rectifier circuit from Gus Smalley's Octave Up Sick Box. (which is just an opamp version of the transistor version seen i...

Re: Wampler style voltage divider ?

I could only say he does it to keep Vref ripple caused by either opamp away from the other. (both Vrefs have filter caps too). Might make sense on a high gain pedal.
EDIT: You can see that the Vref of the first opamp is also connected to the output of the opamp stage.
