Re: Diamond Bass Comp

ok folks, a little update.
i got another one in, and revisited those 4 resistors that were bugging us. they are definitely the values that crackerman posted.
6K81, 6K81, 150K and 100R.
yes, R37 is 100R. brown, black, black , black. and measures 100R as well.

cheers,

Re: Diamond Bass Comp

V1.2 above is the latest and final version, crackerman used it to build a working clone, read his post above.
only question left was R37. but it is only in the status-led section and will not influence the sound. crackerman used the value of the guitar version for R37.

cheers,

Re: BF 3BOD [traced]

finally had time to box this build up today and try it out. sounds like the demos as far as i compared. fat low gainer with a lot of character. will take it to rehearsal on tuesday to see how it sounds on a real amp with the band; today at home, i just used an aguilar db659 pre into the soundcard (d...

Re: TCE - Stereo Chorus Flanger [pcb+layout] [schematic]

if you are talking to me, how come you assume that i want a cheapo chorus to build that i haven´t already built all the chorus boxes you mention that i don´t know that the SCF is worth it´s price ??? i knew this sort of rant would be coming when i posted before... true bypass or not is a matter of t...

Re: TCE - Stereo Chorus Flanger [pcb+layout] [schematic]

maybe it would be interesting to do a "just the chorus part" true bypass 9V in voltage doubler version of the circuit. i have an original at home that i got broken and repaired ages ago (this is how the whole stompbox stuff started for me years ago), but i would not mind having the chorus ...

Re: Diamond Bass Comp

1M to ground after C15, true, added. 100K to .1µ blocking cap to ground after 47K5, true, added. rest around LM358 should be as i have drawn, extra resistor crackerman mentioned is that 47K5 from 2 to 1 of opamp. C26 and R31 swapped, i mentioned that above, but left the schematic as was, order of th...

Re: Diamond Bass Comp

the final schemo for the moment...values corrected by crackerman are in green.
i´m having doubts about R37. other than that, should be good to go. now somebody build it and confirm ;-)

Re: Diamond Bass Comp

so, the last 4 question marks are the values of R6, R20, R33, R37.
maybe crackerman can have a look for us ? i marked them with green circles on the pic below so they are easy to find.

Power Section Revised. the 1N4004 is actually in series between C1 and C2, dropping roughly .7V i suppose. the diode across the power rails looks like a 1N4148.

Re: Diamond Bass Comp

the eq section seems to be identical, except two 15n caps can be switched in in parallel, the value of the caps which remain in the circuit all the time (C5 and C4 on wk´s schemo) is unfortunately unknown yet. the only polys i did not get a reading for, can´t remember why...it is the two caps above ...

input and comp stage. value of C15 yet unknown, something that still makes me scratch my head in the lower rigt corner of the schemo, but this is what i have so far.

values in red mean it´s changed from the guitar vrsion, values in black means they are the same.

Re: Diamond Bass Comp

crackerman, do you still have the pedal ? could you find the value of the electrolytic that is sandwiched on the lower left corner in between the 104, 821 and 101 poly caps (according to my pic with the values that i posted in the first post on page 1) ? that one should be C15 according wk´s schemat...
