...and at the back of the Ummagumma cover of course. Although i doubt they ever recorded anything with it. Come on any lead to a schem?! Of course - it is very easy. LA guitar shop - now guitar-collector - had one up for sale about 2 years ago. Considering his standard prices, I doubt that he sold ...

Re: WEM, Watkins, Rush - Pepbox, Rush Pep Box [schematic]

Im going to plunge myself in this.. Its great to see how you managed to tackle it from legend and bay shots to a viable bunch of layouts! I am intrigued by this mytical charachter, Pepe Rush (Pepe is a spanish name btw, not italian), who apparently was an italian electronics engineer based in the Lo...

Re: Univox - Univibe (Uni-vibe)

Cheers Dr Nomis! I had the feeling it was due to component aging.
Since i found the same brand electrolytics as the original and got me a smallbear, enclosed ldr set, i guess it's building time again.. For my 4th uni vibe. :horsey:
Anyone here tried the new Nu-Vibe by Fumio/Korg? Opinions?

Re: Baja BBE Sonic Stomp [documentation]

I bought a sonic maximizer 462 sometime ago but all of a sudden it died on me. I built this using hbo's vero, a breeze really, but i seem to remember the 462 had a bit more bass on tap at the contour. Will building two of these guys give me a stereo sonic maximizer? In other words, what are the diff...

Re: Mosrite - Fuzzrite [schematic]

I tried it with my little tube vox and it sounds good. I tried a few transistors swaps, and honestly if you keep goin with the high hfe on q1/low on q2 they all sound very similar..so it is not difficult to nail the sound of the original. but from the creepyfingers youtube demo, it sounds as if the ...

Re: Mosrite - Fuzzrite [schematic]

Yesterday evening I built the germanium version, stock, from IvIark's layout. Having built a few silicon ones before, i was surprised at how shrill and piercing the ge sounds. I used quite high hfe germs, texas instruments 1307. Maybe i will have to tweak with the trannie at q2 a bit more..but i wan...

Sup kids? Here we go go go again. Bought 2 sets from Smallbear, one w/ oc75's and the other generic germs. Built two stripboards for the generic set, worked at first then started making a bit of whizzing and noise, static or whatever as if the pedal wasnt properly grounded (it was). I decided to go ...

Re: Sola Sound - Tonebender Mark II Professional [schematic]

Well i guess i like smooth better.. i used to collect garage rock from the sixties.. you can definitely hear how bands (especially from texas, early adopters cos of the heat i guess) used ear piercing, often ice picking silicon fuzzes. Thats why i like bands from before 1967. Later bands used silicon.
