Re: Wampler Ecstasy Problem/Debug Help
Well the schematic can be found here: http://revolutiondeux.blogspot.com/2012/07/wampler-ecstasy-euphoria-overdrive.html So use your audio probe and hit some open strings on your guitar with the probe plugged into the amp and test things in the signal path and find where the signal stops. Like maybe...

Re: Simple Woolly Mammoth clone refuses to cooperate
Yeah I would think the Collector voltage would be higher than that... check for a bad solder joint right off the 9v supply on the 51k resistor.

Re: Internal Layout Software
Spent the last couple days working with both google sketchup and inkscape and they are a ton of fun to play with. Not sure which will become my standard. Sketchup seems to be really easy for working with enclosure, but I can see inkscape being much more useful for enclosure graphics.

Re: Bare Bone Klone (no charge pump)
Looked it over a couple times and found a bad joint at an electrolytic going into the IC, so that makes sense, but now after a while at full gain it starts to give out and lose clarity. I'm thinking I just need to replace the opamp and I'll be fine.

Internal Layout Software
Hey, I was wondering if there is some software for creating an internal layout of pedals. I've been googling this forever, but it just gives me advice on how to order my pedal chain lol. I've seen some designs that seem to do this and have pots, battery, jacks, footswitch all to real size to see how...

Re: Bare Bone Klone (no charge pump)
Here are the pics. Wiring is a tad unclear, but it should be wired fine, as I had it working perfectly. Let me know if you need any connections clarified, and as always thanks for all the time you've put into helping me. https://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a496/mattlee0037/2013-10-01102133_zpsbdd08...

Re: Bare Bone Klone (no charge pump)
So I took some voltages and the only thing different is IC Pin 8 seems to be rising by anywhere from 0.2-0.6V (up to 5.34 probably would continue to rise slowly) and Pin 14 is decreasing by about as much as 8 increases. It continues to rise slowly as it is plugged in. Tested pot tapers and they're a...

Re: Bare Bone Klone (no charge pump)
Well the LED touching the chassis was because I was going to glue it in and forgo a bezel, but didn't have any glue with me and the touching doesn't make that much of a difference just thought it's be worth mentioning. I'll post pics later today and voltages tomorrow probably

Re: Bare Bone Klone (no charge pump)
Bumping this up real quick. Ok, so I took my Klone home today (college student) and I played it, and it sounded great, adds some mids and girth to my tele. Came back home after dinner, and I daisy chained an extra effect (had 3 originally and then added a MLJR) and I moved it around a bit and it wou...

Oh sweet, well my caps are all rated at least 25v so I'll try to make a voltage doubler soon and report back.

Re: Bare Bone Klone (no charge pump)
Interesting.... so could I theoretically take a 9v line from power to board like normal, but take another line off the DC jack to a voltage doubler feeding into the opamp? Also interested in running the whole circuit off of 18v.... if I tested it and fried the circuit would I just have to replace el...
