Re: Laney Black Country Customs Tony Iommi Signature Boost Pedal
The schematic has been verified, I'll get it posted as soon as possible.

Re: Laney Black Country Customs Tony Iommi Signature Boost Pedal
Month and a half! Any updates?? The trace is done, it just needs to be verified. If you saw how many things were "on the bench" you'd understand why it takes a while. I have a ton of loaner pedals here and I have to prioritize by what has to go back to it's owner first. is it ba...

Thanks for that!
Whats up with the components like C7, C9, R8, R10, etc? Were these unpopulated?

Re: Laney Black Country Customs Tony Iommi Signature Boost Pedal
I have one sitting here right now.
I'm right in the middle of a construction project so it's going to be a few days before I can get to it, but I'm on it.

Sorry about the delay, try it now.turbofeedus wrote: ↑02 Aug 2020, 13:31 Yeah, not sure. Maybe they've forgotten about it? Could just buy the PCB and trace it I guess.

It's gooped, and traced, don't tear yours up.
I'll post the schematic shortly, it's verified now.

Re: Mad Professor - Simble [traced]
Hey cool, that's pretty close to what I have as well. A couple values difference, but overall similar. Those dead-end components were pretty cool, can't say I've seen that before. BTW I didn't get a message (or email) from you, where did you send it? From the picture, the trace to R21 seems cu...

Re: Mad Professor - Simble [traced]
This one was a fun one.
Aside from the goop there were a couple dummy traces like the one in the pic below, as well as a handful of decoy components.
I'll post a schematic once it's verified. (It's definitely Zendrive-based, just FYI)

I have some PCBs for it, but haven't had a chance to verify them yet.Lani wrote:Anyone know if this schematic has been verified. I have a bunch of old DBX 2150a that I would love to try in this circuit. I belive they are compatible. I'm looking into building a SSL too!!

Re: Horizon Precision Drive
I'm still unpacking after the move, once my computer is up and running I'll get the schematic for you. In the meantime... Input goes parallel into the overdrive and RMS detector circuits, output of overdrive into unity gain buffer then FET based gate (shunts signal to VREF when gated), through one l...

Re: Benson Preamp [traced]
The FETs in mine were marked 62P, which is still a J201.
If I get a chance I'll measure their specs with my DCA75, but not sure if I'll have the time to crack it back open.

Re: Benson Preamp [traced]
Yep, there was a source bypass cap on the second and third JFET stages. The trimpots are also set up slightly differently. Yours uses 50K trims with a 10K fixed resistor, mine has 100K trims with no fixed resistor. Otherwise everything else is the same as your schematic. Your cap values are correct,...

Ahh yes, you are correct. It would have been C11 on your PCB.

Re: Benson Preamp [traced]
I can confirm, the Treble control is correct as drawn in your schematic.atalas wrote:Eh I'm confused now. I'm pretty confident the treble control is hooked up the way it's shown in the schematic.
You are missing a Source bypass cap on the third FET stage (it would be C5 looking at your pic of the PCB).

Yep, of course. I'm just interested because of Manfreds simulations with the 10K pot in the existing circuit.equinox wrote:We are assuming no other changes like caps thou!
I have no doubt the traced values are correct for that revision of the circuit.

Re: Steel panther pussy melter [traced]
I made a frequency response compare of the Sizzle filter with both potentiometer values (10 kOhms and 100 kOhm). Thereby the value steps were 1 kOhm respectively 10 kOhms. The 10 kOhms potentiometer gives more significant changes than the 100kOhms potentiometer does. Very cool, much appreciated! :D...
