Hello,
I need to build a power supply for a Digitech Whammy 4. Is this just a simple step down transformer? Any filtering or regulation?
The included wall wart says:
Harman Pro Group
model ps0913B-120
MFG p/n: t41091300A020G
input 120v ac 60Hz 17W
output 9v ac 1300mA
listed LR36665

In the pix I've seen there are 4 silicon transistors and 4 silicon diodes. Looks and sounds to me like a Foxx Tone Machine.

Hammertone
I would like to finish a hammond aluminum enclosure with Rustoleum Hammered paint. I have been looking at pictures of hammer finished pedals and there seems to be great variation in the texture. My objective is to achieve something like this: https://i.imgur.com/BrCwt.jpg Not this: http://www.rawbw....

Re: What's the best way to get 9V and 18V from one box?
Hmmm... should I wire the 'bottom' end of the secondary as 'common' and use both secondary 'halves' into rectifier/filter cap for the 7818... then use center tap to feed a second rectifier/filter cap set for the 7809? Perhaps this scheme would be a little easier on the regulators.

Re: What's the best way to get 9V and 18V from one box?
Just realized the transformer is rated in RMS volts, so perhaps Hammond 164H16 (115VAC to 16V CT @ 1.25A) might be a better choice?

What's the best way to get 9V and 18V from one box?
I am building a simple pedal board consisting of one TS-9 Tube Screamer and one AD-80 Analog Delay. The TS-9 requires 9VDC while the AD-80 requires 18VDC. My wall voltage is 120VAC and I would like to build a single power supply box to feed both pedals. What is the best way to accomplish this? I am ...

Re: Diaz Amps
Hi KHELSTROM, What Exactly are you hoping to find? If it's that *Texas tone mojo Thang* you are chasing,, you will never find it inside amplifiers as that trick was more likely done *Externally* and has little to do with the Amps. If that is your interest I'll post it for you? Phil. Yes, please post.

Re: ZVex Mastotron (guts and schematic) [traced]
How do the pots in the schematic relate to the knob labels? I think...
Pot 1 = Relax/Push
Pot 2 = Pulse Width
Pot 3 = Fuzz
Pot 4 = Volume
Pot 5 = Tone
Is this correct?

Fuzz Factory Oscillation/Phase Theory
Hi, Why does the Fuzz factory self-oscillate? Where is the feedback loop? Is the oscillation related to the NPN/PNP integration? Also... The Fuzz Factory has 3 transistors. Is the effected signal 180 degrees out of phase relative to the bypass signal? Thanks, SD-1 Schematic: http://t-giken.up.seesaa...

Re: Fuzz Q2 Emitter Resistor Value
I wired everything up, and the 2.2K emitter resistor sounds good. I'm getting a bit of high frequency squeal when the volume control is turned up loud. Any ideas to get rid of the squeal?

Re: Fuzz Q2 Emitter Resistor Value
I would like to have maximum fuzz. To maintain simplicity, I will be eliminating the 5k gain pot and soldering the 22uf cap directly to the emitter of Q2.
Do you think a 2.2K resistor would be a reasonable substitute for the 10K trim? Should I avoid going too low?

Fuzz Q2 Emitter Resistor Value
Hi, I'm interested in building a fuzz circuit based on the schematics here: http://www.geocities.com/tpe123/folkurban/fuzz/fuzzyfaces.html Simplicity is the goal. I would like to replace the 10K bias trimpot on the Q2 emitter with a fixed resistor. What value do you recommend? I will be using 2N3904...

Thanks! Are there any significant tone/function/reliability advantages to removing all of those components? If not, I'll stick with the "Bare Bones" approach.

Re: Ibanez - AD-80 (Analog Delay) [schematic]
If I recall correctly, the 3pdt can be cleanly mounted to the stock enclosure with no permanent modification - just like keeley does the TS808 reissue TB mod if you're familiar with that. I'll be using a power supply, so there'll be plenty of room for the switch wiring in the battery compartment. I'...

Re: Ibanez - AD-80 (Analog Delay) [schematic]
I'd like to mod my AD-80 to have true bypass switching. Removal of the momentary switch and installation of the 3pdt switch should be pretty easy. Rewiring the LED circuit should be pretty straightforward as well. Most importantly, I have to remove Q104 and replace Q105 with a jumper. Are there any ...
