Re: Paul Cochrane - Timmy [traced]
nobody can do a pcb layout? :applause: If you want to build this pedal you should be able to diy. It's very simple, and a board wouldn't take but a couple of hours to design/etch/build. You don't even need a program - do it by hand the old school way. It's a fun thing to learn how to do. The whole ...

Superb irons, as mentioned, super fast heating, iron nice shape to use, base/stand is perfect and has one of those wire wool type tip cleaner things built in, can fault them

Re: dumb etching question
From what I can recall, it just works on copper, I dont etch boxes so I've not looked into ot anymore but for pcb etching, it is clean, much less odour and easy to work with.

I use the clear stuff, highly recomend it, doesnt stain and the odour is very very faint. Etch's very cleanly plus you can see what it is actually doing. Tryna remember the bloody name at the mo..... it'll come to me

Re: Foxrox - Through Zero Flanger
Yeah I've read the 30 page thread on the other forum about whether the ada does true tzf, i've got the foxrox and an ada and the ada does a bloody good job of it, so technically it may not be 'true' tzf but its pretty bloody good! The line 6 to my ears couldnt get it right, wanted to use one instead...

Re: Foxrox - Through Zero Flanger
A classic studio example of TZF can be heard on Jimi's House Burning Down. The ADA Flange does it, think there was a Morley that did it, also a few modelling type things attempt it, the Line 6 attempts are very poor. Best one if you want some tzf is the Foxrox.

Re: BlackStar - HT-DUAL
Picked up a HT-DISTX about a week ago out of interest really and to have in the studio. Very very nice pedal, even the 'cab sim' output is very useable. I could post pics but I think the HT-Dual is the same thing but with more? If I'm wrong on that then sure I'll get some pics here.

Makes sense now u say that, not really a fan of muff circuits so not looked at them b4PurplePeopleEater wrote:Most Jumbo Tonebenders are a Big Muff minus the final recovery stage. That's why 3 transistors instead of 4.alteredsounds wrote:wonder why most are 3 transistor

Re: Sola Sound - Supa Tonebender: four transistor version
Sure is basically a muff, wonder why most are 3 transistor, the variance between parts used, not especially values is huge, whatever was in the parts bins that week i would guess.

Just cracked open 6 Colorsound TB's to have a transistor count, out of the 6, all fairly different looking, one has 4 transistors:
