Re: Bigfoot FX Magnavibe [traced]
I made the LFO section on breadboard and raised the caps from 1uf to 4.7 and it is a lot slower, but it doesn't go to the faster speeds as with 1uf. Any ideas on how to add a switch to change between the fast 1uf speeds and the 4.7uf slower speeds? I've noticed many lfos get slower by raising the ca...

Re: Mid-Fi Electronics - Pitch Pirate - Guts, Schematic [traced]
Hey all, Andy Hooper here. Looking at elrengofa's layout and schematic, it looks great and easy to etch and populate. Yet I believe there is a mistake. In his schematic in the part where doug has SW for the lfo connections and indicator LED, meaning they all go to the 3pdt, el rengofa has placed 9v....

Re: DOD - 230 ( Noise Gate )
So...would there be any way to make the LED more "sensitive". Like making it slowly turning off. By watching the circuit in action that is what I understand would make the gate more responsive and reliable. That is s far as the gate function. The volume boost I guess would need a different...

Re: DOD - 230 ( Noise Gate )
Sorry if I got the terms "open" and "close" wrong. What I meant is that the gate is inactive when the led is on and it is affecting the ldr. when the led is off; meaning no signal going through the circuit; the gate is active, thus eliminating any noise going through

Re: DOD - 230 ( Noise Gate )
I was just wondering...since the gate opens when the LED is on, wouldn't it have something to do with the "shut off" (if that makes any sense) time of the red led"? The gate opens, as far as I could understand by seeing the circuit working, when the led turns on because of the signal ...

Re: DOD - 230 ( Noise Gate )
I used one that is the same size as the LED. The smaller kind. I'll check the light/dark resistance and let you know.

Re: Bigfoot FX Magnavibe [traced]
Hi! I just placed the 100R resistor and the ticking is completely gone. Amazing effect. Thanks!!!

Re: DOD - 230 ( Noise Gate )
hello everybody. I've built this noise gate and the problem I'm having is that it "works extremely well". I have a volume boost when it is engaged yet no distortion, and it cuts the sound too quickly, even with the 500k pot fully open. Any solutions for this? I used a 3mm red led

Re: Bigfoot FX Magnavibe [traced]
Thanks for the reply! I haven't tried the 100ohm resistor and dimebugg's layout already has the filtering caps. The strange thing is that I tried the magnavibe alone, with no other effects connected to the power supply and it was dead quiet. It only started making noise when I connected the rebote d...

Also built a Heartthrob tremolo and no problem with the power supply. Just remembered that.

Re: Bigfoot FX Magnavibe [traced]
Hello people, my first post. I've built the magnavibe successfuly using dimebugg's PCB. Sounds great. I only have one problem. When using it with a 9v battery the pedal is great, but when using my clea power supply, built from the project at General Guitar Gadgets, the LFO gets into the audio path a...
