Re: Help on analyzing/designing Eq section

Sweet. This Baxandall EQ is the same used on the Alber Kreuzer Bass pre-amp design. I was looking at that but (in my ignorance) thought they were too diferent... Thanks for the help people. Keep the info coming :D As for simulations, If some one here knows how to use Matlab for circuit analysis and ...

Re: Help on analyzing/designing Eq section

Thanks for that fantastic response. But it turs out you have raisen another doubt, if the HPF and LPF are designed to be mutualy influenced, why is the mid control designed around U3B?? (i'm refering to the tri-AC) Will that create a band pass filter that is not influenced by the other filters? Woul...

Help on analyzing/designing Eq section

Hi everyone. I'm working on something that is not a stompbox but is based on one so I hope you don't mind the question. I working on designing a circuit to make a pre-amp similar to Tech21's RBI unit. Since the RBI is based on the Bass driver DI, I'm using the Triangular Ear Bass21(Behringer BDI21) ...

thanks guys, i've tried that technique in a build and, as far as i know, things are going well.

Re: Tech 21 - Bass Driver DI [schematic]

Hi again, since I quited this project i've been reading alot for the construction of a SansAmp GT2 (almost the same parts as the triangular ear) and I've confirmed (in my opinion) what I said earlier about the opamps. As it turns out, the TLC2262 or TLC2272 (aparently there is no audible diference b...

Re: Sansamp GT2 tech21 [traced]

Post resurrection. I'm thinking of building a GT-2 and was going follow tonepad's project but now i'm a bit confused. You are saying that the schematic presented by tonepad is wrong (as in sounds/works bad) or that is a newer version of the pedal? Another thing, will the change in opamp's (tonepad h...

Re: Tech 21 - Bass Driver DI [schematic]

You can always create a daughter board with the chips and then "adapt" the pinouts

Re: Tech 21 - Bass Driver DI [schematic]

So, I've been reading around and seems like a big part of the sound of the sansamp is due to the op-amp choice. For instance, I've seen a project for the sansamp classic were the first choices of chips are TLC2262 for dual and LM324 for quad op-amp. So, can some one tell if there is anything to that...

Re: Tech 21 - Bass Driver DI [schematic]

So mike, any developments?

I'ts my turn now, parts arrived today but the guys from Banzai forgot the damn knobs!!! :(

I'll try to get this to work temporarily with some old knobs I have from an old TV. Anyhow, I'll post again when I have news.

Making connections on Perf Board

Hi,

When ever I se something made on a perf board, the solder side of the board show conections either made with someting that looks like solder tracks or with un insolated wires. What i'd like to know is how do you guys usualy make the "tracks" when using perf board.

Thanks

Re: Tech 21 - Bass Driver DI [schematic]

Nice mike, i'm waiting on the parts for mine so any tips would be very cool. By the way, what are you going to do about the switches? 3 on/off with one side connected to the ground?

Basicly what i'm asking is: Can I get my passive HB's and turn them active using that schematic of the EMG 81? and if so, how.

Although there are some models with only one switch, from what I know, the phantom & ground connect switch is present in all of them. Anyhow, i've been looking forever for this pedal so...TKZ!!!! EDIT: Locking closer to the schematic, there is some switches present but there are only one contact...

The last one is also Albert's work? I know the two pre amps that are on his site, the rack one and the onboard. I'm thinkingon building the rack one

Re: Jfet onboard preamp 3 band schematics

I was thinking of getting the 3band eq from EMG for one of my basses but it would bue a hole lot cooler to make the circuit myself, how can I tune quaternotetriplet's circuit to suit a bass?
