Re: Square to triangle wave conversion

You could use an integrator (an active low-pass filter without DC feedback). Though higher frequencies will create quieter outputs and lower frequencies might clip. Worth a try though!

Re: Building A 4558 opamp from scratch.

I find it tough to believe a discrete component op-amp will be better. You are adding in so many levels of inaccuracy and component variation that I am highly skeptical it will *imporve* performance. That Burson discrete op-amps page made me facepalm so hard for so many reasons. It was the "let...

Re: Servo Offset Biasing for JFETs

Bump. Did you breadboard this? Did anyone? I am hungering for a way to bias jfets automatically. Also, it's fascinating to think about this stuff from a technical stand point. Really interesting design!

For some reason I can not see the original schematic. I think the host is blocked in my country. Could someone re upload it?

Way Huge Echo-Puss

Any interest in gut shots of this? Made of a main board and a two separate ones for the switch and another the jacks and power inputs. Main board is two sided with a combination of surface mounted and through hole bits. Can't tell if it is more than two layers. May be a few days (possibly Monday) be...

Re: Death By Audio - Robot [traced]

Which makes it all the more frustrating. I have 8 chips, 3 of them are giving me the same oscillation issue which makes me feel like I must have made a mistake that my quadruple checking isn't catching.

Re: Death By Audio - Robot [traced]

Interesting. I thought about trying out that method but wasn't sure if it'd work. I thought the resistor between "true" ground and -3.6v was needed for something special. I feel like a voltage regulator would provide slightly more reliable results though. I can't even tell if my issues are...

I'm definitely going to try out your method. Been having a nightmare with this pedal. Still haven't got it off the breadboard.

Isn't the Vref pin into the op-amps? How come that simulates the power being switched on and off?

Can anyone help me understand how this chorus works? I don't understand how the PT2399 is working in this circuit and I don't get how it even creates the chorus sound :(

HT8950 (DBA Robot) oscilating/whining?

Has anyone else here had issues with this or know what might cause it? I have built it off the attached schematic. However, on my breadboard all I get is a whine that vaguely interacts with the guitar but completely overpowers it. It does a bunch of weird things like stops making sound when I play c...

Re: Death By Audio - Robot [traced]

I breadboarded this one up but I am getting a very weird high pitch squeal that is adjustable with the degrade/robot knob. It totally drowns out any guitar signal going in. It also seems if I disconnect one of the three pins (12/13/14) from the little network it stops, but then the chip stops output...

Has anyone figured out what diffrence connecting the middle of the two sets of clipping diodes (a la Timmy) has yet? I'm really curious about that choice as it seems pointless to me.
