Re: Bearfoot Model G [traced]

Looks a lot like the Sweet Honey OD in topology including the "Focus" knob which would be the Model G's "C" control (controlling the negative feedback networks similarly found in the Honey Bee and Model H as well) The additions would be a JFET Inverting stage instead of the Op A...

Re: Clipping LEDs experiences ?

When comparing LEDs to other clipping diodes, I really like them for an open almost soft square wave type sound. I think they are my first favorite, second being JFET clippers

Re: Clipping LEDs experiences ?

Well I typically use 3mm Red, and I like to use Diffused colors, not the clear bright ones. You can experiment with different colors though - I think Orange are interesting as well as Yellow. Some have used Green, and Blue as mentioned. Or you can try putting them in different combinations - paralle...

Re: Tube Screamer Buffer

A 2N3904 facing towards you is EBC a 2SC1815 is ECB

Buffer is again unity gain as mentioned by people before above

Sometimes a 4k7 instead of 10k emitter has more gain, or even a lower 1k if the sound allows for it

Re: Bearfoot Arctic White Fuzz [traced]

The diodes look like they are hooked up a lot differently though, I'd be interested in how! I don't even know what type they are, but are larger than 1N4001 type packages.

Re: Bearfoot Arctic White Fuzz [traced]

Do you remember how they connected between Q2 and Q3 in the EGDM? It looks like one goes to ground? Could you also draw a rough schematic of the EGDM if you've traced it? And I know the vertical ones aren't in the PPF, but they share the same boards hence the question. I meant to post this original...

Re: Bearfoot Arctic White Fuzz [traced]

Do you remember how those empty vertically positioned diodes connected in the circuit?

Here is a picture of the Emerald Green Guts
