Re: EHX - Micro Synth XO Version [schematic]

Due to my morality and EH's sue-happy nature I plan on providing PCBs and OTAs for a clone of the older version I'm calling the Retro Synth. That along with a couple other projects will be released later this year. The newer version is still in my horizon. Just not perusing it while I have sources ...

Re: Clarinot Env Control Circuit Daughterboard (Schem & Vero

The 4007 is 3 pairs of complementary MOSFET's, the Snazzy is using one as a variable resistor but you could hook up the spare 2 sets as inverters and use them as input and output buffers or whatever you wanted inverters for.

As usual I do agree with Fender3D but, if you post your voltages, it might be possible to spot something.

Re: weirdbrato 2399

If you don't mind them being harmonically related, you can just feed one output in to a 4024 and tap whatever outputs you wanted.

You could use a simpler schmitt rather than wasting most of the 40106.

Re: EH Deluxe Electric Mistress Repair [Help Identifying Mod

I think you'd better check and trace yourself what mods have been made there, I checked it for you, the additional parts are 1) Extra filtering of the LFO wave (Electro) 2) Small amount of filtering on the input buffer (Ceramic) 3) Small additional filtering on the feedback path (Poly Cap). Found a...

Re: EH Deluxe Electric Mistress Repair [Help Identifying Mod

I checked it for you, the additional parts are 1) Extra filtering of the LFO wave (Electro) 2) Small amount of filtering on the input buffer (Ceramic) 3) Small additional filtering on the feedback path (Poly Cap). The trim pot jumper up top is common to these, the other ones, they could have been fa...

Re: EH - Low Frequency Compressor [schematic]

The 748 is an Op Amp, sounds like it's this version https://www.freestompboxes.org/download/fil ... &mode=view

Your issue sounds like a bad electro, just replace them all, they're 40+ years old at this point.

Re: EH - Clone Theory ( versions ) [schematic]

It was covered at the start of this thread, Jimi, there were vibra-flange (MN) units stuck in enclosures with the Edge labelling, confusing but that's how EHX rolled. Only the SAD model had an actual Edge Function, so even though it says Edge on the box, with a 3000 PCB, it's Vibra-Flange. The SAD m...

Re: EH - Clone Theory ( versions ) [schematic]

The 3000 PCB was the MN3007 model, seems it was more prevalent than the odd unit to have the Edge labelling on a Vibra-Flange model. What you're describing is totally normal, the Vibra-Flange mode hardwires it in to vibrato with added feedback. I thought I read the other day that if you save the fil...

Re: EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress v1 Repair

I am probably looking at a dead SAD1024,. What you're doing here is a classic case of assuming upfront that the defect is caused by the most difficult to replace part. Don't. I have repaired loads of BBD based effects, including SAD1024 based ones, and it was only in a very few occasions "the chip"...

Re: EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress v1 Repair

Well something is acting as a short and pulling that down, considering you found it in the recycling (you lucky...) I'd just replace all the electro and tantalum caps, they're about 40 years old now and it'll save headaches of testing each one. You could also try taking the 4013 and SAD1024 (while u...

Re: EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress v1 Repair

Post a full set of voltages, a lot of times it turns out to be a dead op amp on old EHX so you may well find your SAD is fine.

Re: Hartman Analog Flanger [traced]

That will work fine if you prefer it, although it is higher parts count than my suggestion and going at the end of the mistress the input impedance is far higher than it needs to be which could increase noise, also if it's always 'on' it doesn't need the input anti pop resistor.

Re: Hartman Analog Flanger [traced]

Literally just a bog standard inverting op amp set up for gain, like this Image

Pin numbers are wrong for most single op amps and you'd want R2 to be a trim but otherwise, basically that.

Re: Hartman Analog Flanger [traced]

An inverting opamp will provide the cleanest simplest boost and have the mistress be in phase.

See the edit I made above, ask Brook to shoot me a message, he knows me.

Re: Hartman Analog Flanger [traced]

Seen it? I have one of Graemey's units :D Yes it does sound 'okay' but there was definitely more dry signal with it and not the 50/50 mix the values were chosen for, so the flange effect wasn't as deep as it should be.

If I remember I think I have some shots of the V5 saved that I can send to Brook.

Re: Hartman Analog Flanger [traced]

If I was you, I wouldn't try and recreate that layout and go with the V5 instead, it's exactly the same circuit (apart from one additional cap on the back of the board and the improved voltage regulator) but its severely improved regards noise, the V1-4 had very long and intertwining traces which re...

Re: Top Gear - Sound Rotator

And here I was thinking it was just going to turn out to be another UniVibe, that actually looks interesting, seems it's just a transistor based version of the later 'Rotator'. I'll be interested to hear how it sounds, I can't quite picture it.

Re: Group buy of EH Bad Stone Phase Shift boards

Zombie post I know, but I just found my PCB for this stashed away. Anyone have the BOM saved and/or any other files? The site is dead and I can't seem to get the Wayback Machine to pull what I need. Been a while since I dealt with this board but I think this is the right BOM, don't forget the LPB-1...
