Re: EHX - EH-8000 Guitar Synth [schematic]
It's been a couple of years now since I had this on the bench and I only got to play it for a day or two once it was fixed but as for opinions from memory, it was smile inducing fun! There was a hell of a lot of sounds, it tracked extremely well and really was a full fledged synth... sure, it wasn't...

Re: MOOG Moogerfooger MF-103 12-Stage Phaser [schematic]
I’d like to get the EH Guitar Synthesizer 8000 (rack unit) up and running but that is a massive project for me. Still, I’m intent on doing it some time. Have you seen this thread? https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=128615.msg1240673#msg1240673 I'm quite familiar with the unit if...

Re: DOD - 230 ( Noise Gate )
sorry guys I don't get the purpose of injecting DC to output... And again isn't output level too much high when you crank treshold pot? It's the same gain in MXR D+ or DOD 250 distortion, furthermore won't D1 and D2 clip signal? That's the envelope section, seems the audio is dealt with passively a...

EHX 2 Second Digital Delay (80's) - Schematic
Trace of the analogue board, might have an error or two as a few traces I couldn't follow under chips/sliders & a couple of values were obscured in my photos and I'd given the unit back to its owner after repair some time back but 99% correct. Would actually be buildable with the digital section...

A trace I did of a vintage unit for comparison, also a few cap values missing.

Re: Rockman X100 - Make it a DIY Pedal
Power Supply: The X100 had eight AA batteries which would supply 12V of DC power. Given that, the Rockman-in-a-Pedal should use a charge pump that regulates to 12V from a 9V battery or power supply. I will add that into the schema later on. It's a split supply, you'll either need to regulate to 6V ...

Re: Pigtronix - Mothership
I have to say the performance of this thing is really kind of underwhelming. I think that rather than tracking well it does a decent job of hiding the fact that it tracks kind of slowly. The circuit is surprisingly underwhelming too... I hoped to see some inventive new tricks but it does just look ...

Re: EHX Bad Stone
I provided you with a potential depth mod in another thread, you even thanked me by PM at 10:24 so why are you asking for one again at 10:26? I already told you via PM that if you want a phaser with a depth mod, this probably isn't the one to try it on but you have something to try. I think my suspi...

Re: EH Bad Stone Revisited
I haven't simulated or tested this in any fashion and I'm not keen on how it's done but it's the simplest way I can think of and best you'll get out of me. B100k might not be the best value to use.

Re: Pigtronix - Mothership
I bought one of these (SMD) and traced it - it was hell. It is a multilayer board and there are signal traces on the inner layers, not just ground and power. The layout is such a spider-on-LSD affair that I have to think it was done on purpose to confuse this community. 😀 It took me quite a bit of ...

Re: Chorus 690 clock distorted output, not pulse
So it's been determined the clock is fine but where are your voltages? Could be a problem in the audio path.

Re: Vintage EHX Small Clone MINI-CHORUS SAD1024 Help please
My hopefully final questions: I guess when I box it all back up the 2N4340 needs to be back in there with the original switching? If (big if) the 2N430 is bad would that have effected the SAD1024 giving low output voltages? lift one leg of the 10k coming from the same place to make sure nothing fur...

Re: Vintage EHX Small Clone MINI-CHORUS SAD1024 Help please
Well seeing as the 2N5087 collector should be grounded, I'd say there's still a mistake
4V for the MN3007 input was just an average expected voltage, it wont be exactly that as the chip will have its own individual bias point.
