Re: Input Output Impedence ?'s

Thanks for this. I thought I had seen something like that somewhere, but I just couldn't find it in all the web sites I've saved learning how to do all of this.

Thanks again,

Input Output Impedence ?'s

I've read every now and then about the input/output impedence of a pedal. I guess I missed why this is possibly good or bad. So my questions are: 1: How do you know what the input or output impedence is? 2: Can you measure it on an a pedal you already have made somehow? 3: What does it affect? 4: Is...

Re: Completely asinine question. (Re: Battery Clips)

I don't have one of these to try this, but... You said that when you mount them with the adhesive, THEN put the battery in, the adhesive pops free. How about putting the battery in the clip first so the clip is in the shape it would be in, then mount with the adhesive. I'm really thinking out loud t...

Re: Bogen CHB-35 info

I have found cans that are close, but not exact matches yet. What is in it is a 40/20/10/10 and Mojo supply, and Antique Electronic supply both have a 40/20/20/20 which is the closest I've found so far. Shouldn't be a huge sound difference I don't think.

Bogen CHB-35 info

Hello Everyone, I recently got a couple of old Bogen heads from a friend. One '61 20 watter with 6v6's this one has been re-capped and sounds really good. The 35 watter however is needing some work. I have found schematics for one similar but not quite the same. So I'm trying to find a schematic for...

Re: Umble OLC kit any suggestions?

Hi, I've actually built this pedal a year or so ago straight from ROG website. I thought it was a bit noisy as well, but I liked the tone so I kept using it. (Although I wish I had my breadboard before I built this, cause with my amplifier, which is based on the old Vox amps, it's a little bright) F...

Re: How do I fix a hum problem?

I will look into that. I'll run the pedal alone and just with the battery tonight and see if that clears anything up.

How do I fix a hum problem?

I've built ROG Umble pedal and it has knocked a few other Dirt boxes off my board. My only problem is it gets what I would call excessive hum. Is there any way to eliminate or tame it down some? I did do a search and I found some info about using a 100 ohm resistor followed by a 100uf Electro to gro...

Octavia Transformer

I put together the parts to at least breadboard an Octavia circuit. When I got my Transformer from Mouser it has 3 leads on each side. (42tmo22) All the schematics I've got show Two connections on one side, and three on the other side. (I am assuming that the Primary side has the "P" stamped on it) ...

Re: Reading Mosfets

Thanks for the information. That will come in handy I'm sure.

I am also looking for something that shows the Schematic symbol labled as to which line is which pin. I will try some more searching.

Thanks again for your time,
Travis

Reading Mosfets

Hello again. I've spent the last couple of days learning how to use my new breadboard. I've been able to make all but a couple of things work so far. Two of them use BS 170's. I assume that I am reading them off of the schematic wrong. Could someone show me, or lead me to a labled schematic symbol. ...

Radio Interference ?

Hello, I use both Single coil guitars and Humbucker guitars. With humbuckers the radio interference isn't noticable. But when I switch to my strat etc. it is real bad. (mainly with fuzz/distortion circuits) I'm looking into properly sheilding my single coil guitars, but I was wondering if there is s...

Re: Breadboard?

Well, Thanks for the help everyone. I pulled the plug and bought this one today: http://www.abra-electronics.com/products/catalog/ABRA-Breadboard-1680-Tie-Points-p-2571.html I got it with a jumper wire kit. My question now is what are the posts for? I've seen Va and Vb listed on diagrams and schemat...

Breadboard?

Wasn't sure if this should go here or not. I am looking into getting a breadboard. I've never purchased one and I would like some help on picking. I don't really know what to look for to know how big it will be. Would this one be a good start? http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?qs=sGAEp...

Re: Looking for Veroboard in the US or maybe board etching

I've used the stuff from Futurelec. I made the Thor and the Roger Mayer Octavia on it. The only problem I've found so far is it takes just about two weeks to get it from them. Mine shipped from Thailand... So if you do buy it from there (I believe it is worth it) Get some of their other grab bag ite...

Re: Analogguru - TBP-Looper

This is exactly what I am wanting to build. I use a Fuzz, and an octave fuzz. Neither one of them at the same time. Is it possible to get a more straight on picture of the guts? Or maybe just tell me which lugs go where on the footswitch? I'm not to worried about having the LED's. All the help has b...
