Re: JHS Twin Twelve V1 [traced]

I have updated my schematic drawing to match. I have also attached a layout (unverified) I just put together. Comments are welcome.

Re: JHS Twin Twelve V1 [traced]

Drew up a new schematic based on the layout. The original schema appears to disappeared. Hopefully this is accurate if you would all mind to check.

Would love to see the schema and see how it compares to the other dumble-like pedals

These are from JLCPCB. I'll attached the gerber files later when I'll reach home.

DimebuGG: Did you make it home yet? :D

Could you be so kind to post your gerbers (and/or sprint files)?

Much Appreciated!

Jam Pedals LucyDreamer

from their website: Owing its clipping merits to our “secret” chip, the Lucydreamer fluently tackles all the traditional tasks of an overdrive pedal and at the same time invites you to discover new ways of expression through its clean signal blending which will also work wonders when paired with an ...

Re: Greer Lightspeed

I'm using an etched pcb from this http://effectslayouts.blogspot.com/2019/04/greer-amps-lightspeed.html Storyboardist used the PedalPCB schematic to create that layout - I also used the schematic for mine. I wonder if there is something awry in that schematic that is causing the same problem for bo...

Re: Pete Cornish - Mystery Pedal [gooped][x-ray'd]

As it is a "new and original design".... I google searched the Cornish site and found these models that claim to be original:

BD-1
CC-1
OC-1
3Q-1

hmmmm.... which could this be then? oh... the suspense.

Re: Greer Lightspeed

I built it but have a squeal happening when drive and loudness reach a certain point in relation to each other - i.e.: when the drive is full up, the loudness will cause squeal when about half way. the same happens when the drive is lower but the loudness is higher. Anyone else encounter this?

Re: Steel panther pussy melter [traced]

While the op amp may be close to ideal, since we socket the IC, we can test out whether the Op Amp chosen here makes that difference in tone. From pin-out it is compatible with the usual OP Amp suspects like OPA2134, TL072, 4580.... I will breadboard it up and see what happens - maybe some feline fu...

One question I have is - why the CA3240EZ op amp? and what else would do the exact same job without changing values on the circuit?

Limit current through D1 to ~90mA when the power is connected backwards.
Would you not just use the diode for polarity protection? A 4001 diode (1A) can handle pedal supply which are mostly 500mA at best.

What does the R2 100R resistor do here? Seems unnecessary.

Re: EHX - Glove OD [schematic]

Thank you for the comments Jose. The layout in the image is without the ground planes but would include them in the actual PCB. I generally try to keep components closest to the areas of the circuit to keep the traces short but as we all know, this isn't always possible given the controls and their ...

The BC557 is being used as a diode (emitter not used). In 287m 's layout, he used a 3mm LED as the diode. What would be another (or better) diode to use in this build?

Also, wouldn't a transistor be better instead of the single-OpAmp (IC4)

PedalPCB now has a C-type buffer board that mounts on the 3PDT foot switch. Could be due to the dialog here.... :)
