Re: Low power 2.1 amplifier suggestion (or help me debug sub

It's funny how I'm talking to myself on an internet forum..
Anyway, I traced the input already. Now I need to read about filters..

Re: Low power 2.1 amplifier suggestion (or help me debug sub

What am I saying. Absolute max is 16,5V, and looking at the radiator it's probably not the case. No sign of overheating, unless those chinese chips are built not to release any signs of it. Maybe it's just a cap, or something? I'll try to make a schematic of this whole thing.

Low power 2.1 amplifier suggestion (or help me debug sub)

I have a cheap 2.1 speaker set that's broken - satellites work ok, but the subwoofer is making a constant popping noise. I checked all components and joints, except for the subwoofer PA chip - I'd have to desolder the radiator. (I bet it's the thing that's broken, but it isn't getting anywhere near ...

Bass Driver and THAT Compressor in one unit - how to power?

My friend asked me to make him a rack unit containing a Sansamp bass preamp (my choice is BD21 lite , and a good compressor (like a THAT4301 based one ). Since it's going to be a rack unit I can power the preamp from something bigger than 9V battery. However, problem is that THAT compressors use +/-...

Digital wireless system for guitar

Not much components. There's possibility of shrinking it down to an usb interface, or simply a wireless system (by adding a DAC). The problem is I know nothing about programming AVRs...

Tech 21 SansAmp Tri-A.C. - help needed with russian text

All right, yo. I found this schematic:
SansAmp_TRI-AC.pdf
(141.39 KiB) Downloaded 291 times
I'll be doing a layout for this one, but I can't read russian. Any of you guys to translate this stuff? :D
Also, I see that this schematic is not all without the electronic switching. I wonder if I can get rid of some of the transistors.

Samson S-direct

Well, that's not exactly a boutique stompbox, but maybe someone is still interested in tracing that one. It IS cheap, but still.. Here's what I found in the net. I even wrote to Samson, but of course they told me they can't supply me with schematic of actually produced unit. https://i488.photobucket...

Re: Ok, Here's a Metal Idea?

small practice amps in general suck, however I did find that the vox pathfinder 10 sounded good but I sat right next to it though. Well' it was a few years ago, but I remember that the Pathfinder 10 sounded really good to me in a music shop. I'll build one if I had the schematic. /edit/ Found one! ...

Useful apps for android?

Hey folks! I just (finally!) bought a tablet with android os. Do you know any useful apps for this system? I was searching for any schematic/pcb layout editors, but couldn't find any. I found one useful app - ElectroDroid, which contains a lot of useful informations on electronic circuit designing. ...

Pickup simulator inductor parameters (Bazz Fuss and so)

Here's the case - I want to build a few fuzz face type effects (mainly bazz fuss, for me and a few friends), but I don't wanna buy those fancy audio transformers, since there's nothing more I could buy together with them. Can I simply take a thin winding wire, wrap a few (hundreds) turns over a penc...

Re: Combining single- and dual-rail devices. How to?

Well, certainly an opportunity to learn some stuff. Must! - Make R4 something like 470k and move it to the + input of the opamp instead of the - input. You're now adding a DC component to the output signal of 5.6*Vb. While it's not clear how high Vb is it suggests that the DC level on the output wil...

Re: Combining single- and dual-rail devices. How to?

I've come up with that kind of idea: schematic.png I suppose it is going to work, but I'm not sure about value of the input cap. However, I'm pretty sure there's impedance mismatch between pre- and power amp. How to deal with it? Should I restore the buffer? Or a simple tone stack scaling would do t...

Combining single- and dual-rail devices. How to?

I want to merge an old Marshall Lead 12 (3005, schematic ) preamp with Taylor's (from DIYSB) Tiny Giant amplifier ( schematic and info ). What disturbs me is that TG is a single-rail amplifier, and the Lead 12 preamp is designed for dual-supply use. I'll be using this setup with a regulated laptop p...

Re: Marshall - Shredmaster [schematic]

I made the Shredmaster recently, and unfortunately the result isn't too good. It's quiet (not sure if unity gain at all), and muddy. Changing bass and treble controls don't do much (well, treble does just a little bit more that bass, but still it doesn't help with the fatness), and the contour contr...

Re: Krank - Distortus Maximus [traced]

I have a problem with that effect. I made it using the following project: Krank Distortus Maximus - Big Louis 22.pdf As you can see I changed some components to, I think, scale down the tone stack. Unfortunately, when I fired this thing up, the volume control didn't shut it up completely. It was alw...

Re: BLACK FOREST - Based on the Bogner Uberschall

Anyone with the latest schematic? Also, I was wondering if I could achieve clean sounds if I omit some gain stages with a switch? I'd like to make a simple bedroom head with 2 channels, one eq, and ~15W output power.
