Too bad about the fixed rate.
You can still get those inductors from Oregon Service Corp.<http://www.organservice.com/>. Part # 80-5041-7. They cost $8.00 ea. and there is a $15.00 minimum order (plus shipping).

. The devil that sits on my left shoulder just whispered something ugly in my ear. He wants me to do a layout for this thing... in SMD with 0603 resistors and caps. That might even get it into a pedal instead of a console. Yep, that is what the devil would say. Now that's a seriously righteous post! Thanks!
I'd love to see something like this on the mooger delay.

Re: DOD - FX45 ( Stereo Reverb ) [schematic]
Since there isn't a thread on the Realistic Reverb from Radio Shack, that I believe (since I can't disassemble the unit without breaking something, it'll have to remain a belief) is based on this same basic circuit. Mono "reverb" with predelay that feels in the 50-100 msec (short slap bac...

Re: Boss PC 2 Percussion Synth
Discofreq has the goods under "Documentation" here:

Maybe you could sub the BA662 with a LM13700. Center tapped pots (for Sweep) are harder to come up with.
I thought of adding a noise circuit to mine, but never got around to it.

So, it's a tweaked DH Pitchshifter.
I never understood why he used that bi-polar power supply.
Charlie Barth used the chip's Lamp output to control a vactrol for a funky envelope function.

Might be some missing connections on the cartoon thing, plus the blue lines on the switches are NOT connections (red lines are).

Re: Is it worth it to take apart this radio from 80s
Some old boom boxes can be sold on ebay for more than the few parts they might cough up.
It might be a fun project to re-purpose one into a portable guitar rig or noise synth. Maybe when you tear it apart save the screws and power supply and make the shell into something bad.

Re: AVX box caps discontinued
Mouser has a few values of the 100 volt XICON 1430 series of box caps. They're not nearly as sexy as the AVX or wimas. They are relatively cheap, and that works for me.
